Dear Mr de Laszlo.
I am just back from the wilds of France & [illegible] to thank you for your kingly & courteous letter. – I shall be only too pleased to take your suggestions with regard to the copy & to do what I can to improve it.[1] – I will call tomorrow Monday between 5 & 6.
I passed through Paris & saw the Salon & was so much impressed with your beautiful portrait of the Marquise de Merito [13322][2] – admirable in movement & handling:
With kindest regards & thanks
I am | Yours sincerely
J.H. Amshewitz.
