Class of 2023 Graduation Ticket Distribution Plan
- Why San Jose State University Event Center?
Pre-COVID-19, our school would graduate at the event center. The venue is large enough to host us as many of our parents, and community members attend our students' graduation. The date and time selected are based on the availability of the venue.
- All Class of 2023 graduates MUST REQUEST two (2) complimentary tickets. Seniors can go to the bank to request these two (2) tickets. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID with you to the bank.
- From January 23rd to April 28th, any eligible graduate (any Senior who is not currently identified as a non-graduate) can pay for up to five (5) additional tickets. Tickets are $15 each. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID. Checks are made out to ESUHSD.
- Any Senior identified as a non-graduate after May 22 will receive a refund for any previously purchased tickets by the end of June. Checks will be mailed home.
- These tickets from the new list of non-graduates will go back into circulation for redistribution.
- In order to purchase(receive) tickets, students must have:
- returned all textbooks, library books, team equipment, and school equipment,
- paid all fines
- After April 28th all unclaimed tickets will go back into circulation. May 1st - May 12th, if tickets are still available, all eligible graduates can purchase two (2) additional tickets at the School Bank till sold out.
- On May 25th, Class of 2023 Graduation tickets will be distributed during the tutorial period and after school till 5 pm. Students will sign for their tickets at this time and must show their ID.
- If a student is absent, they can pick up their tickets in the School Bank during Break, or Lunch on May 26th.
- On May 30th, if tickets are available, all eligible graduates can purchase as many tickets as we have left after graduation practice beginning at 11:00 am.
As a reminder, only eligible graduates can purchase Class of 2023 Graduation tickets. Parents, guardians, siblings, friends, or other relations CAN NOT purchase or pick up tickets.
ALL Seniors must have their ID to receive their graduation tickets. Seniors are encouraged to save their receipts.

Important Dates:
January 23rd - April 28th | Seniors must reserve their 2 complimentary tickets and can purchase up to 5 additional graduation tickets for a total of 7. |
May 1 - 12th | *If tickets are available: students may purchase two (2) additional tickets at the School Bank (open to all graduates) |
May 25th | Graduation tickets are picked up during Tutorial in MPR and after school till 5 pm. |
May 30 | *If tickets are available: students may purchase as many tickets as we have left after graduation practice. |
Notes:
- Number of complimentary tickets per Senior: 2 (must go to the bank to reserve)
- Number of tickets initially available to purchase (for eligible graduates): 5
- Cost of tickets beyond the “2 Free”: $15
- Graduation practice is Tuesday, May 30th from 8 am-11 am at the San Jose State University Event Center. Seniors are to arrive back at SJSU no later than 3 pm for grad check-in.
- Seniors are being notified in the next few weeks if they are on-track for graduation, so parents and students should monitor progress.
