RULES

  1. NO PLAITING
  2. ENTRY FEE: $6.50 PER CLASS

GROUND FEE: $15 PER HORSE

ADMIN FEE : $5 PER COMPETITOR

  1. Your entry fee must accompany your entry or it will be returned
  2. Age of all horses is as of 1st August 2026
  3. Colts over the age of 6 months must be handled by a person over the age of 16 years and must be shown in a bit.
  4. Stallions may enter at committee’s discretion
  5. Stallions allowed to enter will be clearly identified with a RED S symbol on the bridle and handler/rider will also have a RED S bib or armband.
  6. All riders must wear an approved safety helmet with a three point harness.
  7. The show committee reserves the right to make alterations to the programme or cancel the show or combine or cancel any class as they see fit.
  8. You do not need height certificates
  9. The show will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be suffered by any exhibit, person or property and it shall be condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the committee indemnified against any claim in respect of any accident, loss or damage.
  10. Competitors enter and ride at their own risk.
  11. Any competitor found mistreating a pony or horse will be eliminated.
  12. Any horse or pony deemed a danger to others by a committee member, judge or steward will be asked to leave the ring.
  13. In all ridden classes, horses must be 3 years and over.
  14. A Novice is a horse that has not won more than five conformation classes at ANY show.
  15. A Green Horse or Pony is in its first season showing under saddle (not to have competed at a show prior to August 1st 2026 - Green horse shows are not included).
  16. 50% of entry fees will be refunded with a vet or doctors certificate provided they are received by the show secretary within 7 days of the show being held.
  17. Number holders can either be of breastplate form, armband or attached to the back of a rider. Numbers will not be provided
  18. Back number list and program will be posted on Brecland Park Equestrian facebook page.
  19. Entries close 20th September 2026
  20. You are either a show or hunter, you can't be both.
  21. The judges decision is final no protests will be entered into.
  22. Judging will commence at 9.00am sharp.
  23.  Catalogues will not be available on the day they will be posted on facebook.
