WHS BLOOD DRIVE: Tuesday, Oct.23rd, 7:30am-3:30pm & Wednesday, Oct.24th 2:30pm-6:30pm! If you are 17 years old (16 yrs old with a parent permission form turned in) weigh at least 110 lbs and  are in general good health, PLEASE consider giving blood at the WHS Blood Drive and help to Save 3 Lives! You can sign up for an appointment either in the HS office or with Mr Strege in Room H114.  Help us to continue to make the WHS Blood Drive the "Best in the Valley." FREE FOOD (bananas,juice, 

baked goods & pizza are provided for donors & you get a Culver's coupon for a free pint of custard!)

You also receive 1 hour of Community Service if you give and a 1/2 hour for every person you get to give on your behalf.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE:  Spanish Honor Society is hosting a school supply drive! All donations will be sent to children in Costa Rica. Supplies that are needed: PENS, PENCILS, MARKERS, COLORED PENCILS, CRAYONS, ERASERS, FOLDERS. Monetary donations are also accepted. Drive begins Monday, October 15th and ends Friday, October 26th. Drop boxes are outside of the office and in Mr. Jentz’s room.  There will also be some at the public library and the Piggly Wiggly soon!

 **Attention Basketball Players***🏀

Any girls interested in playing basketball this season, please sign up in the office. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Flease (fleasea@w-csd.org).  Season starts November 5th at 3:30pm. You must have all paperwork and physicals done before you are able to practice, no exceptions!

The Winneconne Wolves Football Team has earned the #2 Seed in the WIAA Football Playoffs. The Wolves will host the #7 Seed Two Rivers. Winneconne will host the Game Friday night at Winneconne High School with a 7 pm kick off. This is a WIAA playoff game , so no passes or special admissions will be allowed. All spectators must pay enter the game.  The cost is $5 for all attending except children under 6 accompanied by an adult, they will pay $1. People will be allowed in at 5:55 pm on Friday night.

All spectators will be required to pay. The cost for all spectators will be $5. No passes, will be accepted.

Red Ribbon Week began after the kidnapping, torture and brutal murder of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Agent Enrique Camarena.  In honor of Red Ribbon Week, PRO is sponsoring daily dress up days.  See the posters throughout the school for a complete list of the daily dress up themes.  The 1st hour class with the greatest weekly participation wins a prize.  Remember the school dress code still applies.

There is a local fish farmer who is looking for help this Saturday between 8 AM and 6 PM.  They will be draining a large pond and catching and sorting the fish for harvest.  If you are interested in learning more, please stop by and visit Mr. Melby.  This can be a paid position or community service.  Food will be served!

The elementary program Girls on the Run is looking for help in their practice 5k run on Tuesday, October 30th from 3:50 pm to about 4:45 pm at the elementary school track. They need high school students to walk, or jog and motivate the girls. They also need students to help with music, handing out water/snacks or taking pictures during and after the race. Please let Mrs. Sonnleitner know by Friday, Oct. 19th if you are able to help out. Thanks!(10/19)

Next week is Red Ribbon Week.  Red Ribbon Week brings millions of people together to raise awareness regarding the need for alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention.  In honor of Red Ribbon Week, PRO is sponsoring daily dress up days.  See the posters throughout the school for a complete list of the daily dress up themes.  The 1st hour class with the greatest weekly participation wins a prize.  Remember the school dress code still applies.
