Activity 1.1: Learning to Use a Map is a Snap

This map image of the lower 48 states of the United States of America actually contains two different styles of maps and seems to be missing TODALS! By the end of this lesson you will be able to identify multiple different styles of maps.

Before you can get into the history of the colonies in the North America, you first need to understand where you going by learning to use maps. Maps are some of the most useful tools in the world and learning how to understand and use them is an essential skill that you will learn more about in this lesson.
