Aims of the degree programs:

Spanish: Language and Literature: To give general philological education literary and cultural aspects of Spanish language and literature.

Arabic & Islamic Studies:  To provide students with linguistic skills in Arabic and Islamic society (literature, religion, geography, history and human reality, institutions, daily life)

French studies: To give a general philological training and a specific understanding of the linguistic, literary and cultural aspects of the French language.

Catalan studies:  To provide a general literary and cultural education of Catalan language and literature.

History: Acquire a basic knowledge of humanity’s major events and processes of change and Acquire a basic understanding of the methods, techniques and analytical instruments used by historians.

Humanitie: To provide graduates with a multi-disciplinary humanistic education which will equip students to transmit culture in general and  will facilitate entry into qualified posts.

Translation and Interpreting: to produce a multilingual communication with a  knowledge of all areas related to translation studies

Biology: The study, identification, analysis and classification of living organisms and of biological agents and materials; Genetic studies and their application.

Marine studies: do reseachs  in the different areas of the marine sciences and training future scientists and technicians

Geology: To give students a of theoretical and practical geological knowledge.

Mathematics: To give students an understanding of the nature, methods and purposes of Mathematics and To develop students’ capacity for analytical and abstract thought, intuition and logical and ordered reasoning

Chemistry: To provide students with a scientific-technological training;  To give the students a solid chemical knowledge base.

Nursing: Be capable of providing professional healthcare in accordance with patients

Human nutrition and dietetics: Accept the essential elements of the profession, including ethical principles and legal responsibilities; and exercising the profession in accordance with the principles of social justice and respect for individuals, customs, beliefs and cultures.

Optics and Optometry: the Optician/Optometrist must be capable of undertaking duties which benefit the visual health and wellbeing of people,

Business Administration: to produce professionals who can perform management, consultancy and evaluation tasks in organisations involved in production. 

 Physical Activity and Sports Sciencies: To acquire and apply scientific training to the discipline of Physical Activity and Sports

Criminology: to produce professionals capable of meeting the needs of society with regard to security and the prevention and control of criminal

Law:  to provide a professional education in Law, To transmit an interest in the study of the Law among students

Law (DADE): As this is a joint course programme which combines the contents of the Business Administration and Management Degree and the Law Degree

Law (DECRIM): law and criminology

Economics: to create professionals capable of undertaking management, assessment and evaluation tasks and the Graduates must understand the basic concepts and methodology required to analyse basic economic problems.

Geography and Land Use Planning: To provide a general training in the research methods of Geography. Create the base for further post-graduate,

Pre-school Education Speciality:  Acquire the knowledge contained in each area of the course, training to work as Primary School teachers and  Know how to apply the knowledge acquired in a professional capacity.

Primary Education Speciality: Acquire contained in each area of the course, equipping them to work as Primary School teachers and Know how to apply the knowledge to their professional practice

Publicity and Public Relations: To provide a knownledge  of advertising and public relations, Graduates in Advertising and Public Relations should possess good communication skills and talk and write with coherence.

Labour Relations and Human Resources: To give students the necessary understanding of the complex of work from an perspective encompassing its legal, organisational, psychological, sociological, historical and economic aspects.

Sociology: The fundamental objective of this degree is to produce professionals with a sociology profile and Students will acquire a global knowledge of those areas related to scientific knowledge of societies.

Social Work: work in the prevention of social problems, the social integration of persons, families, groups, organisations and communities, building a coherent society and developing quality of life and social well-being.

Tourism: to  ensuring conversance with the tools needed for decision-making in the current context of tourism and To address issues crucial to the development of competitive advantages in relation to products and destinations.

Architecture: Ability to create architectural projects that meet both aesthetic and technical requirements; Working knowledge of architectural history and theories

Architecturarl technology: to provide graduates with a general, European-standard education in the theories, techniques and technologies corresponding to the building sector.

Civil engineering: The capacity to manage, maintain, preserve and operate infrastructures; The capacity to study and design surface or underground water catchments; A knowledge of the history of Civil Engineering.

Computer engineering: The ability to design, draft, organise, schedule, develop and sign off on projects in the field of computer engineering; the ability to designure the accessibility, ergonomics, usability and security of IT systems;  The ability to define, evaluate and select hardware and software platforms…

Multimedia Engineering: to produce professionals in the ICT Sector who are capable of leading new projects in the world of Multimedia; provide technical support to multimedia projects in the field of culture and telecommunications.

Chemical Engineering: to producing professionals capable of applying scientific methods and the principles of engineering and economics to addressing and solving complex problems.
