2. Allen Moore
Allen is from Two Rivers, AK. He has been racing for 20 years and is returning to the Copper Basin 300 after finishing third in 2016. Allen has run the CB300 every year since 2002, and won the race 6 times. He plans to run the Iditarod this year, as well.

Ryne is from Two Rivers, AK. She has been racing for 7 years, and is returning to the Copper Basin 300 after placing 2nd last year & receiving vet care award. In 2015, she placed 3rd in the CB300 and was recognized as Rookie of the Year.

4. Sebastian Schnuelle
Sebastian’s home town is Juneau, AK although he currently lives in Two Rivers, AK. He has been racing for 16 years , having competed in multiple Iditarods and CB300 races. “Long ago, I was the Quest Champion”, he says. Sebastian is planning to race in the Iditarod again this year.
5. Aliy Zirkle
Aliy Zirkle is from Two Rivers, AK and has been racing for 20 years. She has raced in the CB300 for five years. In 2016, she finished in 4th place. She plans to race in the 2017 Iditarod and has run it multiple times before.

Nicolas is from Girdwood, and is currently living in Willow, AK. He is returning to the CB300 this year after placing 5th in the 2016 and 2nd in 2015. He has been racing seven years. He plans to run his 7th Iditarod this year.

Tim is from Mundelein, IL, and has been living and working in Eureka, AK for the past 3 years with Wild and Free Mushing. Tim ran the 2016 Copper Basin 300, Two Rivers 200, and Yukon Quest 300 with kennel yearlings, and most of these dogs will fill his team this year. Tim wants to be the best person and musher he can be, and wants to develop his own dog team in the future.

Paige calls Fairbanks her home town, and she lives there currently. She has been racing for 10 years, and placed 9th in the 2014 and 2015 CB300s. She has raced the Iditarod multiple times, placing 43rd in 2016 and 27th in 2015. In the Yukon Quest 1000, she placed 14th and also was awarded the Sportsmanship Award in 2012. Cindy, a retired California State University instructor of health science, moved from California to Alaska in 2011 to learn how to run sled dogs. She fell in love with the sport, Alaskan people & culture, and the world’s most amazing athletes : sled dogs! After the 2015 Iditarod, Cindy & her husband decided to settle in AK, bought land and built a house near the Dream a Dream dog farm in Willow, AK. Cindy has since run in the Iditarod,Yukon Quest 300, Top of the World 350, Copper Basin 300, Northern Lights 300, and Knik 200, despite her 2007 diagnosis with a rare disease, Wegener’s granulomatosis.

Otto lives in Budapest, and may be the first Hungarian to race in the Copper Basin 300. This is his second CB300. He is fulfilling a childhood dream that came from reading Jack London. As an adult,he spent a decade as a network marketing sales leader, motivational speaker and bestselling author. He reached a “now or never” point and realized it was time to fulfill his dream-qualify for and run the Iditarod. Martin is from Narjordet, Norway.He is living in Kaktovik, AK, having spent a number of summers there. This is his first winter in Alaska. He started dog mushing 15 years ago, when he was 4. He is fairly new to dog sled racing, will be a rookie in this year’s CB300,and hopes to qualify for the Iditarod. He is a two-time finisher of Femund Junior around Roros in Norway.
