What’s going on…

It’s already May! Where has the year gone???

We have had a great year and excited for summer break!

Cultural Studies:

The fourth graders are studying the Civil War to wrap up the year.

The fifth graders are working on technological advancements and space exploration in the modern era.

Language Arts /Reading/ Writing:

Both 4th and 5th graders are reviewing all they learned throughout the year. We are also participating in the Great Mail Race and each student is writing a letter to of the fifty states. We hope to get letters back from all the far away places we send our letters to!

The class also continue with daily reading comprehension and practice answering comprehension questions using the R.A.C.E (Restate, Answer, Cite, Explain) strategy.

The third narrative writing assessment and Spring benchmarks will be given within the next 2 weeks.

Tutoring: I will be offering tutoring, to those in need, every other Friday starting at 8:15-8:50, starting Friday, May 5th.

Please remember Upper El is nut and shellfish free. Please help keep our friends safe by NOT sending in these food items.
