I was there for a few days with Princess Kara-Georgevitch[2]

Editorial Note:
The sender, Henriette Capel, was daughter of Arthur Capel, shipping merchant and sister of Coco Chanel's lover "Boy" Capel. In 1898, Henriette and her sister, Bertha, had been painted by the French artist, Jacques-Émile Blanche (1861-1942). This double-portrait, Lady Michelham and Miss Henriette Capel, is now on display at the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Nice.
