Lana Harte sworn in as the new Sheriff

Paleto (Paleto Station) -- Effective April 30, 2022, Sheriff Mitch Wheatkings resigned from the position of Sheriff and joined the ranks of the U.S. Marshal with their San Andreas office. Governor Vlad Tod pushed nomination papers for Acting Sheriff Harte on May 1. Representative Jackson, Lawson, Storm, and Malone voted yes for Lana Harte to become the next BCSO Sheriff once sworn in tonight, May 7.

Lana Harte has an extensive background in Law Enforcement and has had many accomplishments while working for the BCSO. She assisted in the massive River-City raid in December of last year, which retrieved the final missing class-2 weapon from Robert Mataindale and recovered a stolen Ruby Sapphire. Since July 2021, Lana has worked on restructuring the Law Enforcement division. Harte has also ascended to the sheriff position within one year of employment at the BCSO.

The executive branch is excited to see Sheriff Harte take on her new, challenging task as Sheriff. Governor Tod and Lieutenant Governor McKenzie congratulated her on this achievement and are looking forward to how the BCSO will continue growing and expanding under her leadership.
