The children will learn to use descriptive and precise vocabulary. 

What helps the plants grow? 

  1. The teacher will discuss how sunlight helps the plants grow.
  2. Ask: What would happen if there is no sunlight? Would the plant survive? Why not?
  3. The teacher will add a seed, potting soil to a small flowerpot, then place it  shoebox with a small opening on the lid.
  4. Have the children lift the lid every day, and water the plant, and talk about what is happening to the plant.
  5. Discuss the results with their classmates on daily basis.
  6. Ask: What helps the plant grow? What happens if there is no sunlight? What do you think  will happen to the little plant?
