- Reread the rhyme and let the children check their answers.

- Direct the children’s attention to the pictures and have them talk about what they see in the pictures.
- Ask the following questions: What animals do you see? What are the people doing? What are the people doing?
- Have the children echo-read the rhyme.
- Introduce the concept of looking for picture details.
- Tell the children that by looking at the pictures they were able to tell what the rhymes was about a pig and a market.
- Help the children use picture details to predict what a “Little Bo-peep” is all about.

- Read the nursery rhyme.
- Have the children view pictures in the Smartboard as the hear the rhyme.
- Listen to “Willie Winkie.”
- Ask: Why do you think Willie Winkie was running through the town in his nightgown?
- Ask: Who ran up and down the stairs?
- Listen to “Little Miss Muffet.”
- Answer the following questions: What sat down beside Miss Muffet? What did Miss Muffet do when she saw the spider? What would you do if a spider sat beside you? Would be frighten like Miss muffet?
- Listen to “Hickory, Dickory Dock.
- What ran up the clock? What happened when the clock struck one? Why did the mouse ran up the clock? Do you think the mouse will run up the clock again? Tell why you think so.
- Have the children act out “Little Miss Muffet.”
- Have the children answer the following questions: Which rhyme do you like the best? Why?
