Medivh Preview
Medivh was covered on #105 with Jeff Cannata
Interesting Tidbits are bolded. I don’t intend on reading the whole ability. Preview by reddit’s eruhenon
Q Arcane Rift
- Launch an Arcane Rift in the target direction that deals 182 damage to enemies in its path. If an enemy Hero is hit, the cooldown is reduced by 5 seconds and 30 mana is refunded
- Level 7 Quest - The Master's Touch (Q) Quest: Hit 35 enemy Heroes to permanently increase the cooldown reduction by 1 second and the damage dealt by 100. Unfinished progress is lost on death.
W Force of Will
Considered very strong by the pros at the summit.
- Project your will onto an ally, shielding them from all damage for 1.5 seconds.
- (Comment: still vulnerable to CC)
- Level 16 Talents (Forced W Choice)
- An untalented Force of Will is also applied to allies near your target.
- Force of Will lasts 0.5 seconds longer.
- Upon ending, Force of Will heals the target for 50% of all the damage it absorbed.
E Portal
- Place a Portal at Medivh and the target location, creating a link that allows allies to teleport between both Portals. The link lasts 6 seconds.
- Level 7 - Raven Familiar (E) A Raven Familiar circles allies that step through a linked portal for the first time. The Raven will dive at the ally's next Basic attack target for 114 damage as spell damage.
Trait Raven Form
- No Mount
- Possessing Atiesh allows Medivh to transform into a Raven. Upon transforming, Medivh gains 15% Movement Speed, can fly over terrain, and becomes Immune to all effects.
- Default vision radius is reduced
- No interaction with Temple Objectives or collecting seeds/gems
- XP soak is still possible
R1 Poly Bomb
- Poly Bombs the target enemy hero, silencing them and suppressing their attack for 2 seconds. On expiration, the target spreads Poly Bomb to other nearby enemy heroes.
- (Comment: This is definitely like chain bomb lvl 20 upgrade, Relentless makes it scarier, as it activates faster leaving less time to split up)
R2 Ley Line Seal
- After 0.5 seconds, unleash a forceful blast of Arcane magic from beneath the ground, imprisoning enemy Heroes in its path and placing them in Statis for 3 seconds.
- 3 seconds after being hit, so not everyone will be released at the same time
General Talents:
Level 4 -Dust of Appearance (Active)
- Activate to reveal enemies in the immediate area around Medivh for 10 seconds. Does not cancel Transform: Raven.
Level 20 - Arcane Brilliance (Active)
- Activate to instantly restore 200 mana to all nearby Allied Heroes and provide them 10% bonus Ability Power for 10 seconds.
- About the size of Malfurion’s Tranquility
Level 20 - Invisibility (Active)
- Give an Ally Hero Stealth for 20 seconds. Stealth is lost from damage or actions.

Garden of Terror Length Under Investigation
Long games on Garden of Terror is something we're aware of. There's an issue in which the Garden Terror is dealing a little less than the intended amount of damage against structures, and we have a fix planned for an upcoming patch.
We're also internally exploring some other slight changes to shorten games. Those adjustments may come at a later date, if needed.

May 25th Hotfix
Rehgar
- Casting Rewind will no longer reset the cooldown of Ghost Wolf (Z).
System
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the client from fully shutting down after exiting the game.
- Fixed an issue causing the tooltip for Kerrigan’s Fury of the Swarm ability to display an incorrect value.

Strategy
A Short Talk About XP
3 more shows till Season 1. Each week, there will be a general strategy to prepare you.
The scene has changed again. Shared XP is such a unique mechanic. Two years into it, we are still figuring out how best to take advantage of the games systems.
Short Primer: How to get XP
- Be within ½ a screen of dying lane minions
- Destroy Towers, Forts and Keeps (Do not need to be in range)
- Wells, Gates and Walls give no XP
- Kill heroes ( Do not need to be in range)
- Underdog bonus provides bonus Xp while behind on levels
- XP is never multiplied by heroes in range
- Murky and Uther get a kill for 800 xp. Both have XP on their XP bar. The team only got 800 xp, not 1600
The Old Way (last 4 months or so)
- Soak Soak Soak (Burn those lanes, get them buildings)
- Make Objectives (Bust Soaking is cool too)
- Return to Soaking
What changed? Static XP
- Lane minions, Towers, Forts and Keeps
- Murky skips early game team fights and gets top Fort and all towers. Murky’s team now has a XP lead despite being 0/3 on kills. Murky has used up a Bank of XP on the map.
The New Way (Developing Over the Last Month)
- Soak lanes that are pushed out.
- Roam when you reach the enemy towers.
- Participate in all team fights
- Return to soak (but know your objective timers)
- Everyone makes the objective
Emails
Pretzul
Since there are now four mages in the game we can guarantee that each team will have the opportunity to pick at least one mage during the first round of picks if they so choose. In what circumstances would you pick each mage, and why? Similarly, when would you ban a specific mage to avoid playing against it?
Picking a burst - We are assuming the player is skilled
- Zone Control
- Bursty Burst
- Lots of Slows (Executioner)
- Teleport
- Snowball kills with Critical Mass
- Scaling at 3.5%
- Likely to be ban
- Punishes melee heavy comps
- Frustrating to play against
- Reliable point and click damage
- Likely to be ban
- Short Range
- Chromie - What comp would you take Chromie over one of the other burst?
- Extreme Long Range
- Short Cooldowns
- Reliable Delete Potential
- Body Light
- Can’t aid in objectives
