Dear Maestro,

Allow me, as a long-standing and sincere admirer, to congratulate you warmly on the marriage of your son^[1] and to send my sincerest good wishes both to you and to Mrs de László.^[2] May God grant that your son’s choice has been a wise one and may God bless their union. My wife^[3] asks that you both accept her congratulations.

When will I have the good fortune of seeing my Maestro again? If you come to Hungary, we should both be very pleased to see you and your wife at Hegyfalu. I too have a László Room, not as stupendous as the one at Welbeck, but we are nevertheless very proud of it!

Kedves Mester,

Engedje kérem meg, hogy mint régi és őszinte tisztelője fia esküvője alkalmából melegen üdvözöljem, és ugy Mesteremnek, mint Mrs de Lászlónak legőszintébb szerencsekívánataimat küldjem. Adja Isten, hogy kedves fia válogatása szerencsés legyen és Isten áldása kísérjen frigyüket. Feleségem is kéri mindkettőjüket, hogy az ő szerencsekívánatait is fogadják szívesen.

Mikor lesz szerencsém Mesteremet ismét láthatni? Ha Magyarországra jönnének mindketten igen örvendenénk, ha itt Hegyfalun üdvözölhetnök kedves nejével. Nekem is van egy László Termem, nem oly pompás, mint Welbeckben, de azért igen bűszkék vagyunk reá!
