8. Message from Talking The Talk

Hello Parents and Carers, thanks for following Talking The Talk!

The aim of this list is just to get you started with some resource ideas, it is definitely not complete.  Drop me a line with recommendations of more great books that I could add vanessa@talkingthetalksexed.com.au .

Those of you have heard my comprehensive and contemporary sexuality education sessions will know how frustrated I am with books that are behind the times and don’t adequately cover topics like;  female sexual pleasure, gender diversity and are very heteronormative. Unfortunately many of the books on this list fall into these categories one way or another, it's hard to find books that cover everything in a contemporary, inclusive tone, with up to date facts (i.e. true size and function of the clitoris)...so that is why I am writing one myself, for teens,….be sure to subscribe here to be the first to hear about it’s release at the end of 2017.

Thanks for all of your support and encouragement on my mission to educate this generation of young people and good luck with the many, many, many, sexuality conversations you need to be having with your kids.

Remember to always be an askable parent.

I hope you find the resources useful.

“Let’s get started it’s easier than you think”

Vanessa :)
