Food Resources On and Off Campus

Among college students, 35-51% report experiencing food insecurity. At UIUC around 1 in 5 students experience food insecurity. Proper nutrition has been linked to positive brain function and better academic outcomes; don’t settle for the “right of passage” of living on cheap, processed food. There are several community and campus resources to get you the nutrition you need to succeed.

On-Campus:

Food Assistance & Well-Being Program

  • Rear of the ARC Instructional Kitchen (entrance on the concourse level, next to the indoor climbing wall)

  • Instructions: Walk through pantry, select foods according to pantry rules + limits, & enjoy!
  • Hours: Tuesdays (1 - 1:45 pm & 2 - 4 pm), Saturdays (2 - 2:45 pm & 3 - 5 pm)
