Ensemble Stars!! Basic Tutorial

EVENT GUIDE

Note 1: This guide is still a WIP. For now it only contains general event and tour event guide. I will update this again as soon as I can.

Note 2: The end part of this document will be some tips for when I do events!

Events are one of the highlights of Enstars gameplay! The main goal of events is to obtain rewards through earning sufficient event points. All of us want those shiny cards, right?

One of the advantages of enBasic is that the 5☆ cards only need 1.1 million points for its first copy! Very cool! Very nice!

Beginners inevitably need to spend dias for the first few events you're gonna participate in, but as long as you build your teams and level up your cards properly, you'll find yourself spending less as time goes by! Hustle hustle!

Events happen in the app twice a month!

SCHEDULES OF EVENTS (consistent unless announced otherwise):

  • 9th/24th - feature scout announcement (15:00 JST)
  • 10th/25th - feature scout start (15:00 JST)
  • 12th/27th - event announcement (15:00 JST)
  • 13th/28th - theme scout announcement (15:00 JST)
  • 14th/29th or 30th - theme scout start (15:00 JST)
  • 15th/30th or 31st - event start (15:00 JST)
  • 9th/24th - event end (22:00 JST)

Of course, it depends on what month it is! Just know that events start every 15th and last day of the month. Theme scouts start a day before the event starts.

It can be confusing but you'll get the hang of it once you're used to it. I think. Haha.

EVENTS: HOW DO THEY WORK?

  1. Accumulated event points
  2. List of point and ranking rewards
  3. List of all users ranking
  4. Event point ranking
  5. High score ranking
  6. Event-exclusive Produce Courses/Lessons
  7. Ribbon exchange shop
  8. Ongoing Live
  9. Story chapters
  10. Mini talks

How do I earn event points?

  • Through completing live challenges!

LIVE CHALLENGES

Live challenges pop up in random when you tap through D.L.F.S. courses (comprehensive Wiki guide about D.L.F.S. here). Completing a live gives you event points which you need to get through the event reward list.

There are four kinds of Live Challenges that may appear in an event.

  1. Normal Live

  • Features unbloomed card art
  • No mark above the attribute
  • Time limit: 2 hours
  • Max level: 45 (first half); 30 (second half)
  • Max level points given without bonus: 2,000 pts
  • Max level audience requirement: 2,000,000人
  • Ribbons given: 12-15 (average: 12)
  • There's a low chance of featured 3☆ card dropping (except Shuffle events where 4☆ chances are way lower)

  1. Rare Live

  • Features bloomed card art
  • Has a yellow mark above the attribute
  • Time limit: 1 hour
  • Max level: 30 (first half); 20 (second half)
  • Max level points given without bonus: 6,000 pts (first half); 9,000 pts (second half)
  • Max level audience requirement: 4,000,000人 (first half); 6,000,000人 (second half)
  • Ribbons given: 12-18 (average: 15)
  • There's a low chance of featured 3☆ card dropping (except Shuffle events where 4☆ chances are way lower)

  1. SP Live

  • Exclusive to Unit and Shuffle events
  • Features combined card art of the unit featured in the event
  • Has unit (ユニット) mark above the attribute
  • Time limit: 10 minutes
  • Max level: doesn't level up
  • Points given without bonus: 500 pts
  • Audience requirement: 500,000人
  • Ribbons given: 18-22 (average: 20)
  • There's a very very very very low chance of event 5☆ card dropping to the point that it almost feels like a myth. Fun fact: I only saw this once happening on a Twitter stranger — iit actually happens! You need to have godly luck though.

  1. Emergency Live

  • Randomly appears after completing any live mentioned above.
  • Features a high-rarity bloomed card art (4☆ for unit and tour events; 5☆ for shuffle events)
  • Has a red mark above the attribute
  • Time limit: 10 minutes
  • Max level: 15
  • Max level points given without bonus: 16,000 pts
  • Max level audience requirement: 8,000,000人
  • Ribbons given: 25-35 (average: 30)
  • There's a very very low chance of 4☆ card dropping (except Shuffle events where there's no chance at all)

LIVE PAGE:

  1. LP available: 1 LP is refilled every 15 minutes
  2. Team Attribute: Dance, Vocal, or Performance
  3. Unit Formation: takes you to unit formation page (more info about card skills and team formation here)
  4. Card Bonus from simultaneous Theme Scout: more details about it in the Wiki (scroll down to Event Scout Bonuses)
  5. Team Power (in audience number):
  • TIP: This doesn't need to always be over the live's audience requirement. Cards have Live Skills which can boost your team's power during lives. As long as your team power is close to it, you should always try to complete it (e.g. if the live's audience requirement is 6,000,000 and your team strength at 4LP is ~5,700,000; please use 4LP instead of 5LP as there's a high chance that you can fulfill the audience requirement through Live Skill boosts)
  1. Toggle for number of LP/s to be used: more LP = higher team power multiplier, i.e.:
  • 1LP = x1
  • 2LP = x2.5
  • 3LP = x4
  • 4LP = x6
  • 5LP = x8
  • 6LP = x10

Use whichever multiplier you need to be close to (not necessarily above) the level's audience requirement.

  1. Live level
  2. Time left to complete the live (hh:mm:ss)
  3. Audience requirement
  4. Do the Live
  5. Quit the Live
  6. Back/Postpone the Live

After you tap on the "Do the Live" button, this should pop up! You may choose to skip this!

If you didn't meet the audience requirement, a "Continue" screen should display and it will take you back to the Live Page. Take note of how much audience requirement is left for you to fulfill to avoid using LP more than necessary!

On the other hand, if you fulfill the audience requirement in one go, it will display a "Success" screen and will take you to the this reward screen:

White button: top Event Page

Yellow button: back to the ongoing D.L.F.S.

QUESTION CORNER!

Q: What kind of live should I go for?

A:

  • For users with weak teams (less than 500,000 team strength), I advise going for normal lives, rare lives, and emergency lives. This won't guarantee that you'll be able to get the 5☆ event card immediately, but as advised, please always try to go as far as you can during events!
  • For users with decent teams (more than 500,000 team strength), I advise going for rare lives and emergency lives only. This will save each of your LP with a higher point ratio.

EVENTS TIP CORNER (applicable for ALL types of events)

  • Do not let your AP and LP sit in full for too long! Please use them immediately when they're full! This way, you can take advantage of their natural regen (1AP: 3 minutes, 1LP: 15 minutes).

  • You don't need to immediately complete a live challenge. One of the charms of Basic is that you can postpone a live and wait for natural LP regen to complete it which will save your dias! That's what time limits are for!

  • Sunday course DOES magic. Every Sunday, there is a daily course where you'll earn twice EXP than usual (i.e. if you do the 40AP Sunday course, you'll earn 800EXP instead of 400EXP during other days). Use this to your advantage to have several rank ups, which will refill your AP and LP in FULL! This course also has an increased rate in growth tickets drop. You can also use this course to easily level up your cards!

Sunday course is magic! Some players can earn 1.1M+ points from Sunday course alone. Definitely not me. Haha. (hides)

  • Daily courses (including Sunday course) are not safe from triggering Appeal Talks. Personally, I think that they're really pesky when I'm grinding. If you have teachers' cards and collab cards from old era, use them if you're going to grind in daily courses. That way, you can avoid triggering Appeal Talks! Using Auto Clicker, you can complete a course under 2 minutes lol

  • In addition to the point above, you can also do Auto on the right-most room (infirmary), click the same area auto (2nd auto option) and let it run its course to avoid triggering Appeal Talks. The downside of this option is that you won’t gain as many status pieces/jewels as a normal run.

  • Before each event starts, it is good to overflow your LP to 20 and be close to rank up! This way, you have a 30LP heads up in the beginning of the event!

  • Cylumes are neat little things that'll help you when you're rushing for points. They give you a 100% live challenge drops (i.e. a live pops up every D.L.F.S. turn!). To use it, click on the empty + slot beside the big yellow button and pick your cylumes!

  • Personally, I wouldn't really advise on doing Theme Scout solely for event bonuses. It does help to boost your score for a bit, but I promise you it's better to spend those dias on events instead of giving them up to RNG.

RIBBON EXCHANGE SHOP

exclusive for Unit and Shuffle events!

Neat little shop where you can exchange the ribbons you earn through Live Challenges. You can exchange dias, status pieces, and memorial coins here! Aim to at least get 1,000 ribbons for the 90 dias!

TOUR EVENT GUIDE

A tour event has the usual Basic event mechanic, but it has the very fun Live Tour Map (orange button) where you can get rewards solely through the number of lives completed! Very neat!

Tour Map goal: Complete 300 live challenges!

Each node in the Tour Map is labeled as "Day" and will be referred to as such in this tutorial!

Each Day contains 2 missions that you should ideally accomplish. All of these missions require you to finish the D.L.F.S. lives above a certain score threshold.

  • Main Mission (orange mark): missions that you need to clear to be able to move on to the next Day. They come with growth tickets, status pieces, and card rewards (or memorial coins if you picked it!). These missions are usually generic (i.e. they don't require anything aside from accomplishing the score requirement).

  • Dia Mission: missions that don't really need to be cleared to move forward to the map, but it gives you 3 dias when completed! (30 Days = 90 dias from Tour Map alone!). These missions are usually specific (i.e. they require specific characters, score ending, or cards to be used).

Each Day requires 10 AP to start.

For reference, take a look at this missions thread of Submarine Tour event!

You'll be able to pick your Day 20 and 30 rewards!

Day 20: either of the 4☆ event cards or 2 memorial coins (both ! and !!)

Day 30: either of the 5☆ event cards or 10 memorial coins (both ! and !!)

You can change these rewards whenever you like as long as you haven't completed the Day!

QUESTIONS CORNER!

Q: Do I need to match the attribute color to the cards I use for each platform?

A: Nope! It's not needed, but bear in mind that matching a card to its attribute gives a boost in your total score!

Q: Do I need to finish both missions to move forward to the map?

A: Again, nope! You just need to clear the main mission to move on!

Q: Are the scores reflected in the estimation the same as the score I get in the end?

A: Using [ ! ] cards, YES.

Using [ !! ] cards, NO.

  • Even if you only use one [!!] card on your D.L.F.S. deck, your score will boost. Bear this in mind esp. for missions that require a specific score.

Q: Can I revisit Days where I didn't complete the Dia mission?

A: Of course!

TIP CORNER

  • Tour Map is completed solely through the number of lives, and yes this includes normal lives! If you're only keen on completing the Tour Map, do normal lives instead because they're cheaper!

  • On the other hand, if you're aiming for multiple copies of cards, just do your normal routine of completing rare/emergency lives! You'll reach 300 lives in no time. But of course, adjust this as to how you see fit.

Personally, when I aim for 1.1M/1.25M during Tour events, I tend to switch to normal lives once I reach that point goal to complete the Tour Map. Take this advice and adjust it to however you need it!

  • If you want both 5☆ cards from the event but don't want to go for 1.25M, check which card is the 1.25M reward and set it as your Day 30 reward! This way, you only need 1.1M and a complete Tour Map for both 5☆ cards!

  • For Dia missions that require you a specific score requirement (i.e. ending in even/odd/same number), use [ ! ] cards if you have them. The score you see in the estimation will be your same ending score.

  • Refrain from completing the Tour Map D.L.F.S. during Sundays! You should be saving all your AP and sandwiches for Sunday course for rank ups! (Of course except if the event ends on a Sunday lol)

MORE EVENT GRINDING TIPS

> this is a little corner where I'll share how I often do events where I'm aiming for multiple copies of cards! Of course you're free to use them even if you aren't aiming for them lol these are just miscellaneous tips.

  • D.L.F.S. settings: TWEAK THEM.

Tweaking your settings can help minimize popups of usual idol talks so you can maximize your time. These are my preferred settings and why I have them — feel free to modify them however you want!

1st: Toggling this option ON will disable minitalks missions in your succeeding courses once you've completed them (100%)

2nd: Toggling this option OFF will disable appeal talks in event courses only. Unfortunately, daily courses aren't included in this but hey! still very nice.

3rd: Toggling this option ON will retain your last used LP in your lives (e.g. if you previously used 4LP/x6 multiplier in a rare live, it will retain the same usage the next time you do that particular rare live). Helpful so you don't have to toggle through the multipliers every single time.

4th: Toggling this option ON will make your device vibrate whenever there's a live. Very helpful especially in mornings lol

  • Live Setting

In case you want to auto-refill your BP using dias without having to confirm if you want to refill it everytime, you can tick the check box on the down-left corner.

  • Create a daily goal and keep up with it everyday if you can! This helps you not cram points and maximize your resources. Remember that cramming points is always more expensive.

  • I cannot stress enough how important Sunday course is! Maximize this entire day as much as you can~

  • If you're on Android: use an auto clicker app. Life-changing!

  • Outside Sunday course, it's nice if you can grind in event courses. Clearing 100 courses gives you 10 dias! Very nice.
