2013 Executive Committee
We are off to a great start. The new committee held several planning sessions and have received several fresh ideas for events this year. We are looking forward to a fantastic 2013.
Typically, during the beginning of the year I try to make sure our newsletters and communications reach to everyone. We have now hit 300 email addresses mark! If you know someone who recently moved here and would like to be added to our mailing list please let me know. Also, if you have recently (since end of 2011) moved and have a new address please send me your updated contact information so we can update our directory database.
Inside This Issue
The community holds its monthly meetings at the Hindu Temple in Morrisville, NC. We invite everyone to attend the monthly meetings.
Please inform our Food Coordinator, Mrs. Heena Mehta for planning purposes if you are planning to attend.

NEXT MONTHLY MEETING
Mahavir Jayanti 2013
JSCNC will celebrate Mahavir Jayanti on Sun April 28 2:00pm. This year's celebrations will take place in Hindu Bhavan Cultural Hall like last year to better accommodate our growing needs. We will also use last year’s afternoon format followed by Swamivatsalya (Dinner). There is mandatory dress rehearsal for all cultural program participants on Sun Apr 21 at 3pm. Stay tuned for additional announcements as we firm up the schedule.
Mahavir Jayanti is one of the largest events sponsored by JSCNC, is open to everyone and demonstrates the unity and generosity of JAIN community. The Executive committee puts in a lot of planning in place but your support - financial and volunteer - makes this program a huge success. This year, we have already received sponsorships for most of the major categories: Swamivatsalya (Dinner), Goody bags and trophies for children, Food on the day of dress rehearsal. Your support is always appreciated on this auspicious occasion for activities throughout the year. If you would like to contribute, please register your pledge with Pratyush Mehta or Anand Shah. Also, if you are interested in volunteering please contact Pratyush Mehta or Anand Shah. Several parents signed up during the parents’ meeting on Feb 3rd but we can always use more hands.
Volunteer categories are:
Pathshala Dues for 2013
This announcement is repeated from last month. If you have already registered and made payments, thank you! If you have not yet, please follow directions below.
I would like to remind the parents of Pathshala kids to ensure that annual dues for Hindu Society facility use are paid. This is a Hindu Society of NC requirement for all groups who use the facility. The contribution is $10 per month per child and you can either pay monthly or annually.
For your convenience, the committee can accept your check on your behalf and provide it to HSNC. You can bring a check to the next meeting or let us know the arrangements you have made (auto draft/direct pay).
You cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all the parents who have already registered and made their payments! We only have about ⅓ of the students registered. Please make sure you register your child. The deadline was Feb 3rd but it’s not too late! Registration instructions:
