Northeast ABQ Hosting Action Center Job Description
TITLE: Action Center Presenter
DESCRIPTION: Present volunteerism programs to organizations interested in developing people or groups as volunteers.
OBJECTIVE: To develop and facilitate presentations to organizations on the benefits of volunteering and to help market Community Link.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Working knowledge of presentation techniques plus CLABQ mission, goals, vision, policies, procedures and database.
SKILLS: Leadership and management. Attention to detail. Public speaking skills. Good skills on computer keyboards and software, primarily spreadsheets, word processing and databases.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Certificate or GED.
TIME COMMITMENT: Based on presentation and developed schedules.
SUPERVISED BY: Action Center Director or Resource Coordinator (Depending on personnel availability).
WORKING WITH: Staff and hosted participants at the Action Centers and potential volunteers, plus charitable and other organizations.
WORK LOCATION: UNM Action Center@ 2210 Silver Ave. SE, and other organizational locations.
AGE REQUIREMENTS: At least 18 years old.
BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED: No.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Some travel to presentation locations will be necessary. Signing of a Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest form is required. A sex offender registry check will be conducted. If a person is on the registry they will not be allowed to work in the Action Center because children and vulnerable individuals are present at times. Knowledge of CLABQ policies and procedures required.
