A Hybrid Cross

Purpose:

In this activity you will use coins to observe the results of a hybrid cross.

Materials:

Procedure:

  1. Get two coins from your teacher.
  2. Heads will represent a capital letter “R.”
  3. Tails will represent a lowercase letter “r.”
  4. Toss both coins 50 times. Record the genotype of each toss into the table below each time you flip the coins.
  5. Answer the questions after you are done completing the data table.
