Attendance Procedures
Regular and prompt school and class attendance is essential for successful scholastic achievement and other educational experiences. All students are expected to attend school regularly, to attend classes, and to arrive in school and be in the classroom on time.
A student is considered absent if not physically in class/school for half of the period/day. School related reasons such as field trips, meetings, health room, and in-school suspensions are not considered absences.
Upon returning to school from an absence, your student is required to submit to the Attendance Clerk a doctor’s excuse note or a note signed by their parent or guardian indicating the date(s) of and the reason of absence(s).
The student passes are issued from the Registrar’s office. In order to be excused from school, a student needs to bring a note signed by the parent or guardian indicating the reason, date, and time to be excused, or parents may request a student pass in person from the Registrar’s office.
