6 bis RUE DE MONTEVIDEO 16ème

13th July, 1933.

Dear Mr de Laszlo,

I have had Mr Davis of Knoedler’s up here to see Pauline’s and my portraits [8882][8976]. He says they are both in great need of washing and varnishing, but he thinks they also require slight touching up by you, and he would not like to begin to do anything until you have seen them yourself, so I will not send them to Knoedler’s until I hear from you.

If by any chance you are coming through Paris this summer en route anywhere, I would deem it a great favour if you would telephone the house, and if I am absent ask for somebody to let you in to show you the portraits, so that you can see what has to be done, and make arrangements to do it if you have the time.

There will always be somebody responsible and intelligent in the house, and I will make arrangements  with whoever it is, to see that you get the portraits safely, and that they are returned here if you wish to have them at your studio.

I would be very grateful for a reply to this letter.[1]

Hoping that you will be passing through Paris and that I shall be here to see you,

Sincerely yours,

M. Paul Munn
