DemonHacks is a hackathon by created by students, for students who are interested in invention computing, computer science, or just technology in general. This hackathon provides a welcoming and safe environment for anyone involved in the event. We hope that people of all ages, genders, gender identities or expressions, cultures, ethnicities, languages, national origins, political beliefs, professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, socioeconomic statuses, and technical ability feel welcome in this space. We will not tolerate discrimination based on any of the characteristics above, including participants with disabilities.
We do not tolerate any form of harassment. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or prompt removal and expulsion from the event. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of event staff immediately.
Event participaters asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsoring organizations and their representatives are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Event staff should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
Participants agree to allow all photography to be edited, altered, distorted, used in whole or in part, in conjunction with other images, graphics, text and sound in any way whatsoever and without restrictions, except where such use is in contravention of the law.
