I am calling to ask Representative/Senator ___________ to support measures to combat sexual harassment in the sciences, [H.R. 36 or S. 1067]. This week is the one-year anniversary of a report issued by the National Academy of Sciences summarizing pervasive sexual harassment experienced in academia, the damage it causes, and outlining mechanisms to reduce it. Since 50% of women in academia experience harassment, I ask the Representative/Senator to support legislation that will begin to address these issues.
