CAS in RF-GGF: Code of Conduct v1.1

Our goal is to create a positive climate for players to learn and grow in nullsec.

All players have the right to enjoy their fleet experience free from harassment.

The CAS RF-GGF home was set up as a place to experience a side of EVE that players might otherwise find prohibitive. Treat RF-GGF as a place to learn, explore, and hone your skills and tactics.  In order to support fleet cohesion some expectations must be met:

  • Join fleet  ➤   If you're active in RF-GGF area, join fleet so we don't sound alarms at your presence
  • Join fleet voice  ➤   You must  use voice chat while active in fleet if possible, mics are highly advisable
  • Comms Priority ➤   Battle and Recon communications have priority over all other forms of text & voice
  • Language ➤   Refrain from harassment and excessive vulgarity
  • Support  ➤   Support others and get support from the group where practical

Voice & Text Comms Notes

  • Use the echo test & feedback from fleet members to adjust your volume appropriately
  • Do not yell at others over voice chat
  • Share the conversational space, take a breath and make sure everyone can have their say
  • Refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct such as degrading or negative comments/links in local chat

the most appropriate thing to say in local after an engagement (if anything) is 'gf' for good fight

  • Restrict your local chat, use a private convo if you’d like to socialize outside of the fleet. Use of local chat can impair the fleet’s tactical advantage, and may reflect badly on the reputation of the fleet & its’ members
  • If you encounter a problem player:
  • Do not retaliate. If you act out, it can aggravate the situation for you and the fleet
  • Politely request that the user alter their conduct, consider using a private chat
  • If the issue persists post to the "A Syndicated Life" mailing list regarding the issue
  • Use the Block feature as an extreme measure for text chat
  • Mute the player as an extreme measure. caution as this can create chat overlap on voice

Harassment and Conduct Notes

  • Be respectful to all players; Refrain from swearing, spamming and disruptive communications
  • Refrain from behaviour that may be interpreted as griefing, intimidation, abusive, bullying, threatening, or defamation
