EXECUTIVE ORDER ADJUSTING THE GOVERNOR’S MEDAL

WHEREAS, the Governor’s Medal has not been serving its purpose, only being awarded to those who have contributed greatly to politics, while neglecting the culture and economic provisions of EO006.

I. RENAMING THE GOVERNOR’S MEDAL.

  1. The Governor’s Medal is hereby renamed to the Governor’s Medal of Governmental Achievement.
  2. The Governor’s Medal of Governmental Achievement shall be awarded to people who have served in public office in the State of Great Lakes, including State Clerk or Deputy Clerk, and contributed greatly to the Government of the State.
  3. All previous recipients of the Governor’s Medal of Governmental Achievement, formerly named the Governor’s Medal, shall retain their Medals.
  4. Section II Subsection B of EO006 is hereby struck.

II. ESTABLISHING THE GOVERNOR’S MEDAL OF CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC ACHIEVEMENT

  1. The Governor may award the Governor’s Medal of Cultural and Artistic Achievement and shall have no limit on volume of medals awarded, so long as the requirements are met.
  2. To be awarded the Governor’s Medal of Cultural and Artistic Achievement, an individual must have contributed greatly to the culture of the State of Great Lakes through artistic, architectural, or other means.
  3. To be awarded the Governor’s Medal of Cultural and Artistic Achievement, one must have been a resident of the State of Great Lakes or have contributed to its culture directly.
  4. The Governor’s Medal of Cultural and Artistic Achievement may be awarded posthumously.

III. ESTABLISHING THE GOVERNOR’S MEDAL OF ECONOMIC AND SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENT

  1. The Governor may award the Governor’s Medal of Economic and Scientific Achievement and shall have no limit on volume of medals awarded, so long as the requirements are met.
  2. To be awarded the Governor’s Medal of Economic and Scientific Achievement, an individual must have either
  1. Contributed greatly to the economy of the State of Great Lakes, through either successful entrepreneurship or economic study.
  2. Had great success in scientific study.
  1. To be awarded the Governor’s Medal of Economic and Scientific Achievement, one must have been a resident of the State of Great Lakes or have contributed to its economy directly.
  2. The Governor’s Medal of Economic and Scientific Achievement may be awarded posthumously.
