As we start our next lesson on Public Policy, we are going to look at events that are considered public policy. You will need to pick one of the bulleted topics below and explain how this will affect you. In your statement you will need to explain what are the pros/cons for each of these events:

• Raising the age for probation license expiration until age 18.
• Wearing uniforms in public schools.
• Trying youth (those under 18) as adults in the court of law.
• Restricting the types of food sold to students in vending machine or school stores.

Be sure that you utilize complete sentences or bullet points, correct grammar and spelling throughout. You need to list both the pros and cons for your selected event.

When you are finished share your journal with your teacher. Be prepared to discuss your statements with your classmates.
