Advances in Understanding of Student Thinking in Lower Division Mathematics Courses
Within lower division mathematics courses (precalculus, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations) are a plethora of beautiful, foundational ideas that are introduced and permeate throughout mathematics and STEM, more broadly. This session focuses on recent advances in our understanding of students’ conceptions of these ideas and the teaching interventions that support students in the learning of these foundational ideas.
