Hello Parents,

This week, we started a new unit in Shalom called Shalom Bait – Hello House, and learned two new letters in Ariot: Nun and Nun Sofit. The children listened to a story, played interactive games, practiced writing the new letters, created them in fun ways in their notebooks, and learned new songs about body parts.

For the half-term break, the children have some extra home learning. Please encourage your child to read Story 1 and play Game 2 in Shalom Bait.

Hello parents,

We celebrated Simchat Torah this week at Shtilim, concluding the Festivals of Tishrei and completing the letters Mem and Mem Sofit in Ariot. The children worked diligently in their books, played interactive games, and made a Simchat Torah flag. They also received a lovely gift from Tomer, our Shinshin — a booklet about Chagei Tishrei for the children to enjoy at their leisure.

For home learning, please encourage your child to play:

•        Game 1 in חגים, חוגגים את חגי תשרי

Wishing you all a lovely weekend with your families.

Hello Parents,

We had a festive week at Shtilim, with a focus on Chag Sukkot. The children learned some songs, listened to and read a few related stories, played a digital game as a class, and made decorations for the sukkah with the help and resources provided by our wonderful shinshin, Tomer.

For home-learning, please encourage your child to play Game 3, listen to Stories 4, 5, and 6, and then mute the volume and read the stories again on their own.

Hello Parents,

We had a very short week at Shtilim — only one day! Next week will be the same.

That’s why this Our Week update will also apply to next week. We’ve started learning about Yom Kippur this week and will be finishing the topic on Monday. The home-learning activity will cover both lessons, so please encourage your children to play the game after Monday’s lesson rather than this weekend. In the meantime, please check that your children have completed their Rosh Hashanah home-learning from last week if they haven’t already done so.

For home-learning next week, please play Game 5, which you can find under:
חגים
יום הכיפורים  מה עושים ביום הכיפורים 5

Wishing you all Tzom Kal and Gmar Chatima Tova.

Dear Parents,

We had such a wonderful second week at Shtilim! The children worked so hard, and we are almost finished with our learning of the letters Mem and Mem Sofit. We also continued exploring the themes of Rosh Hashanah. To celebrate, the children created beautiful greeting cards to wish you all a heartfelt Shanah Tovah and to eat an apple dipped in honey.

This week was extra special as we got to meet and work with Tomer, our new Shinshin. The children were very excited to welcome him and enjoyed their time together.

Starting this week, we’re introducing home learning.
The children will have five digital games to enjoy—two in
Ariot and three in Chagim. In Ariot, please go to the section on the letters Mem and Mem Sofit:

Dear Parents,

We had a lovely first week at Shtilim!

It was wonderful to meet your children and start getting to know them.
This week, we primarily focused on getting to know each other, creating our class rules, revising the Alef-Bet Song, continuing our work from last year on the letters Mem and Mem Sofit, and introducing ourselves to the festivals of Tishrei, particularly Rosh Hashanah.

We also welcomed our new Shinshins, Tomer and Noga, who will join next week.

There is no home learning for this week.

Shabbat Shalom,

Hila
