‘Painting a Queen’, Manchester Dispatch, 27 May 1924
Mr. de Lombos Laszlo [sic], to whom Queen Marie of Rumania is sitting for her portrait [3200], has a studio in a dull-looking house off the Finchley-road, which, however, has an Italian garden full of daffodil and blossom attached. There is a whitewall with closed green shutters and a plaque of the Madonna and Child. Press a bell, and one is shown in by a Japanese attendant and finds oneself in a medieval Italian hall hung with tapestry.
