TakePart used social media to break the news of the introduction of an orca captivity ban bill. We used original social memes and cross-platform promotion to spread awareness and galvanize support. Our story became a trending topic on Facebook, and TakePart garnered over 31,000 “messages of support” for the Assemblyman who introduced the bill.
