Mrs Frederick Szarvasy, née (Kate Muriel) Rhona Saavedra, wife of Frederick Alexander Szarvasy (1875-1948), Hungarian-born British banker and financier. In 1930, Szarvasy purchased de László’s study portrait of Jenő Rákosi [6729] from the Rákosi family and offered it “to the Hungarian Nation.” The portrait was presented to the Szépművészeti Múzeum [Museum of Fine Arts], Budapest the following year.
