Baccalaureate is tonight @ 7pm in the auditorium. Arrive by 6:45pm to line up in the music hall. No special line up is needed. You will need to wear your graduation gown, NO CAP.

Metea will be open on Saturday, May 26th from 9am to 12pm for senior picture taking in their caps and gowns.  Please enter through door 19.  The courtyard will be open as well.

On Sunday, May 27th students need to arrive at Northern University in DeKalb by 9:00 am sharp to be begin the lineup for graduation.  Additional information about graduation can be found on our website or twitter.

Attention Seniors: Senior Check Out will take place in the LMC on Monday, May 21st, and Tuesday, May 22nd.  The senior check out process includes taking care of any remaining financial obligations, turning in your Chromebook, and all textbooks and library books, completing the online Senior Survey in Naviance, and submitting a final transcript form.  Seniors must complete all steps in the checkout process by Tuesday, May 22nd at 2:45 PM in order to receive tickets to graduation at the graduation rehearsal on Thursday, May 24th.  Please check the Metea Valley website under “MVHS Headlines” for more information about what you can do ahead of time to speed up your checkout process.  Thank you for your attention to this important responsibility!

The American Sign Language Club will be meeting at Chipotle on Route 59, tomorrow, after school.  Any student who is interested in learning or practicing ASL is welcome to join the ASL Club.  Hope to see you there.

Senior Scholarship Information is Due May 4th In order to be acknowledged at the 2018 Black and Gold Senior Awards Keepsake Booklet, Seniors who have accepted scholarships (for example: academic, college specific, talent, athletic, ROTC or local) must bring a copy of their award letter(s) to Ms. Dubois (Main Office) no later than Monday, May 4th, 2018 at 3:00pm.  Only student names will be in the senior awards booklet; amounts of scholarship will not be included.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Prom ticket sales begin this week. Tickets will be available in person for seniors only on Wednesday and online for juniors and seniors. Tickets will only be available online on Thursday and in person again on Friday for juniors and seniors. Tickets are $75.00 and need to be purchased before the dance as they will not be available at the door. Guest passes need to be purchased in person. More information can be found on the TV's and posters throughout the school. Nominations for prom queen and king are also open. Check the TV's and posters for more information.

The LMC will be hosting READ if you DARE READ IN today in the LMC.  All Valley high schools will be supporting National Library Week and School Library Month by spending time in a book!  If you stop by the LMC today for the READ IN bring your favorite book or check out a new favorite book, and celebrate reading!

CONGRATULATIONS to our three graduating seniors who will be speaking at Commencement on May 27 at NIU's Convocation Center!!!! After auditions, discussions, and determinations by a student-led panel, Pavan Baloo will be delivering the Reflective Address, while Arjun Sundararajn will be sharing his Academic Address. The emcee for Commencement will be Serena Bernal. Again, CONGRATS to Pavan, Arjun, and Serena!!!
