Private Collection

The portrait for which these are preparatory drawings remains in a private collection [2681]. In that portrait Godfrey is on the right with Diana on the left. In this respect it is likely that the drawing to the right was the final preparatory pencil sketch.  De László also painted a portrait of the sitters’ mother, Mrs. Ralli in 1923 [2310].

The study of Prince Christopher of Greece and Denmark is for a full-length portrait [7804], painted in Cannes in March 1922.
