  1. Call to Order: Matt called the meeting to order at 5:08 pm.

Absent from BOD: Chad Fish, Treasurer

  1. Vision – Children’s Kiva Montessori School will provide a vibrant and engaging learning environment based on the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori that supports all students’ academic excellence and ability to become empowered, creative, lifelong learners responsible for themselves, their community, and their environment.

Mission - The Early Childhood Program at Children’s Kiva Montessori School uses authentic Montessori methods in a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment to inspire students’ sense of wonder, innate desire to work and learn, and positive engagement with their community.

  1. Approval of the 07.18.16 minutes: Matt moved to approve the minutes as written, seconded, no discussion, approved unanimously.  Motion carried.

  1. Sign-in sheets will be placed in the office after school begins.
  2. Staff will talk with parents regarding the importance of being on time and ready for the day.

  1. Shamai: bring a copy of the Oath of Office to the next meeting.
  2. Alexia is using Sandbox, a child care database, on a trial basis - registration, time cards, payments, etc.  It is cloud based and working toward interfacing with Quickbooks.
  1. $250 setup fee with a $90 monthly charge.
  2. Alexia feels that the registration fees will cover the cost.
