- Pulaski and Noyes County Pools Update:
Last Thursday’s meeting (October 17th) at Pulaski Indoor Pool, organized by Milwaukee County Board Chairwoman Marina Dimitrijevic, was well attended by many diverse groups who use the pool. Representatives of these groups include Coach Bob, many of the Schroeder South families, participants of Lauren Jensen’s Tri-Faster, senior citizens, lap swimmers, and other members of the community.
The last important meeting before the full county board votes on the budget (which includes the pools) is the annual County Board Budget Hearing scheduled on November 4th, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The hearing will be in Memorial Hall (third floor) at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center. The media will be there in full force, and we’d like to get as many aquatic people there as possible. Keep in mind there is free public parking in the north lot of the War Memorial.
Please also sign the petition to keep Pulaski and Noyes County pools open - over 650 have already signed. Keep spreading the word about these two important indoor pools.
