ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR APRIL 24th

Please stand, face the flag, place your hand over your heart, and begin: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Today is Day 2

FREE FOOD!- Okay, now that I have your attention, you should know that the yearly box top competition is HERE! This week (4/23 - 4/27) all homeroom classes will compete for the ultimate prize...DONUTS AND MILK!!!! Starting Monday, classes who bring in the most box tops will win. You can find box tops on everyday items in your pantry such as mac and cheese boxes, cereal boxes, and granola bar boxes. So, if you really want your class to get those donuts......better act fast and bring them to your homerooms!

From the library - Starting today, Tuesday, April 24, students with any overdue book(s) or library fines will not be able to come to the library during recess or focus time until the overdue book(s) are returned and fines are paid. If you have any questions, please stop in the library.

7th/8th Choir Students: Monday and Tuesday (this week!) are ensemble days. You may bring homework to class.

ATTENTION all 8th graders - the votes are in… your 8th grade dance theme for this year is Rustic!!!!

Attention Peer Helpers - please meet with Mrs. Kaiser in the LGL at recess on THURSDAY - we have dance stuff to talk about!  Thank you!

Character Challenge - MAKING HARD DECISIONS - Making decisions can be tough, especially if those decisions will make a big impact on others or on yourself. When choosing your path, it's important to envision where it will take you. No one knows the future, but it is greatly informed by your actions in the present. As the school year's end nears, it's likely you will have to make some decisions soon. Maybe you have to decide how to spend your summer. Will you work a job, take summer classes, go away to camp, join a sports league, plan for college, visit somewhere new? Whatever you're grappling with, remember to think about the ripple effect of your actions — and don't hesitate to seek the advice of those who care about you and know you best.

Will the following students please come to the office:

Make it a great day, or not, the choice is yours!

Character Challenge - Life is busy. It's full of school, work, activities, family and friends. Often entire days are planned out, and we tend to squeeze as much as we can into each of them. But when's the last time you made space to goof around, relax, be yourself. Time with no specific agenda other than to experience what's happening in your corner of the world. Go ahead. Set some of this time aside, reset, relax and watch your hectic schedule become a little less crazy.
