Risks of Rhinoplasty

  1. Red Flags When Researching Doctors
  2. Consultation Questions (Primary & Revision Patients)
  • Doctor Database
  1. Compiled Reviews & Perspectives from Groups (Coming Soon)

Doctor Database Disclaimer:

This is NOT a "botch list." The database is a collection of findings, perspectives, and patient experiences to provide context on surgeons.

  • There are no completely safe doctors—no matter their skills, experience, or success rate. This database is not about defaming anyone but about recognizing patterns of surgical outcomes. Some surgeons become last-resort options for revision patients, while others go unnoticed despite high complication rates due to a lack of exposure. Even reputable surgeons can change over time, becoming overworked or compromising on standards. A once-trusted doctor may eventually develop a pattern of poor outcomes.

Rhinoplasty is not a safe surgery. For first-time patients, the risks are unnecessary. For revision patients, tracking patterns is crucial. Avoid surgeons who have shown consistent neglect. Speak with as many long-term patients as possible before making a decision.

ANY DOCTOR will make mistakes even with the best intentions and only you will have to live with their mistakes on your face and on your body.

How to Research a Doctor Effectively:

  • Do not rely solely on Google reviews, Facebook posts, RealSelf, or Trustpilot—many negative reviews get deleted, and some doctors have their reputation managed by PR teams.
  • Successful reviews can be part of paid marketing campaigns. The truly dissatisfied patients are often found in niche Telegram and WhatsApp groups. Look for links on Reddit or Facebook. Once in one group, ask for more links to other groups.
  • On Instagram, check who has liked a surgeon’s post. DM patients who look similar to the featured patient in the photo to gather real insights.
  • Focus on patterns of neglect, accountability, and repeated surgical issues. If a doctor has a history of consistent asymmetries, necrosis, collapses, functional issues, gaslighting, or ghosting patients, they are high-risk.
  • Avoid doctors who do not provide pre-surgical morphs or pressure patients into trusting their vision blindly. You should have a clear understanding of your surgical plan before committing.

Good surgeons take responsibility for their mistakes. They acknowledge failures and explain how they were corrected. They do not dismiss patient concerns, blame healing, or insist that unfavorable results are "part of the process."

Understanding Rhinoplasty Risks:

  • Rhinoplasty has a revision rate of 15-35%, one of the highest in all surgeries. Even in the best hands, outcomes are unpredictable.
  • Surgery should be necessary and not elective unless essential. Aesthetic surgeries carry significant risks, and complications can have permanent consequences.
  • If complications arise, some surgeons will refuse to correct their own work if it exceeds their skill level or if they do not want to take accountability.
  • Good revision specialists are rare. The fewer surgeries you have, the better. Each revision increases the risk of complications, scar tissue buildup, and functional issues.
  • If you are considering rhinoplasty for cosmetic reasons and not due to injury or breathing issues, please reconsider. You have inherent beauty and value without it. No surgery is worth losing your identity or facing life-long complications.

Every surgeon makes mistakes—even the best ones. But only you will have to live with those mistakes for the rest of your life.

Potential Risks and Deformities

Rarer Risks

Stay Away from Turbinate Resection

Avoid cutting, cauterizing, or using lasers on the turbinates—these practices can permanently damage the mucosa and are still being performed today. If absolutely necessary, lateralization (repositioning the turbinate bone) is the safest option, though complications can still occur. Radiofrequency treatments should be done cautiously, as high heat and aggressive techniques can lead to Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS).

To best protect your turbinates, avoid narrowing your nasal bones in the first place, so turbinate reduction won’t be necessary.

Common Rhinoplasty Complications

  • Structural Deformities: Open roof, Rocker, Stair Step, Polly beak, Inverted V, Saddle nose
  • Bony Vault Issues: Collapse or asymmetry of the middle vault, Over-resection of nasal bones
  • Tip Problems: Over-rotated tip (can lead to dorsum collapse), Over-resected tip, Drooping tip recurrence, Poorly supported tip (becomes crooked over time), Pinched tip
  • Graft & Skin Issues: Visible grafts (thin skin), Misplaced grafts (often post-infection), Skin atrophy making vessels visible, Indentations, Necrosis, Blue staining under eyes, Hyperpigmentation & scarring from aggressive work
  • Nostril & Columella Issues: Retraction, Asymmetry, Alar collapse from excessive resection, Semicircular scars
  • Airway & Functional Issues: Internal & external valve collapse, Deep osteotomies narrowing airways, Lateral cartilage collapse, Septal perforation, Septum re-warping due to improper tension placement, Chronic sinusitis, Upper lateral cartilage separation from the septum
  • Nerve & Sensory Damage: Optic nerve inflammation, Numbness & loss of sensation, Loss of the ability to smile or express familiar emotions due to alarplasty/over-rotation
  • Long-Term Swelling & Inflammation: Abnormal swelling lasting years, Recurrent skin inflammation
  • Psychological Impact: Identity loss, Increased depression & suicidal thoughts (even in those with prior good mental health)
  • ENS (Empty Nose Syndrome): Mucosal layer damage leading to the sensation of suffocation and inability to breathe

Additional Risks & Complications

  • Swallowing & Sensory Issues: Problems swallowing due to poor palate support, Septal nerve damage leading to chronic pain
  • Blindness & Vascular Risks: Blindness from central retinal artery occlusion or embolization due to local anesthetic injection, Life-threatening vascular and endocranial complications (not as rare as expected)
  • Lymphatic & Skin Issues: Inflamed lymphatic system, Impaired drainage, Subcutaneous cysts & granulomas, Subconjunctival ecchymosis (20% occurrence, usually resolves in two weeks), Abscess formations near the medial canthus
  • Cartilage & Graft Complications: Lipogranulomas (paraffinomas) from nasal packing ointment displacement, Diced cartilage resorption (higher risk than solid cartilage), Costal cartilage (autograft/homograft) warping, Pneumothorax from rib cartilage harvest (collapsed lung risk), Grafts getting infected, rejected, or reabsorbed
  • Neurological & Brain Risks: Hyposmia (temporary loss of smell due to mucosal swelling, rarely permanent anosmia), Case reports of rhinoliquorrhea, encephalitis, brain damage with pneumocephalus, carotid-sinus cavernosus fistula, arterio-venous malformations, aneurysm, sinus cavernosus thrombosis with septicemia & subdural empyema, Naso-cardial reflex causing heart arrest
  • Structural & Facial Changes: Nasal vestibular stenosis, Mid-face fracture & collapse (nasal bone breakage can alter maxillary structure, mouth palate & lead to facial aging), Silent sinus syndrome (contraction of maxillary sinus cavity causing orbital displacement, difficult to diagnose)
  • Orbital & Eye Issues: Orbital complications (traumatic or infectious), Swelling impairing lacrimal drainage, Charlin’s Syndrome (painful nerve neuroma causing severe headache, facial pain, rhinorrhea, and eye congestion)

These risks, though varying in severity, emphasize the unpredictable nature of rhinoplasty and the importance of considering all potential complications before proceeding with surgery.

Potential Risks and Deformities (continuation)

  • Your nose will never feel the same – The tip often becomes stiffer, and sensation loss is common.
  • Rhinoplasty isn’t permanent – Your nose will continue to change with age. Without proper structural support, it may shift, warp, or collapse over time.
  • Facial proportions will change:
  • The philtrum (area between the nose and upper lip) may appear longer if the nose is rotated upward.
  • Eyes may appear farther apart if the nasal bridge is reduced or the bones are narrowed.
  • Results may decline over time – You may be satisfied initially, but in 5, 10, or 20 years, the nose could collapse or deform.
  • Anesthesia and healing can affect mental health – Post-surgery depression and anxiety are common for 3–6 months due to chemical changes in the body.
  • Unpredictable outcomes – Even the best surgeons cannot guarantee you’ll love your results.
  • Breathing capacity is often reduced – A smaller nose can restrict airflow, which is especially concerning for athletes.
  • Alar base reduction (nostril narrowing) is irreversible – It cannot be undone except through complex skin flap surgery.
  • Your nose affects overall health – It’s connected to the vagus nerve and sinuses, which regulate anxiety, sleep, and cortisol levels. Even a 1mm change in nasal passage size can lead to breathing difficulties.
  • 70% of revision patients develop breathing problems – Structural issues from previous surgeries often make this unavoidable.

Other Risks:

  • Infraorbital hematomas – In darker-skinned individuals, these appear as persistent dark shadows under the eyes and may take months to fade.
  • Mucosal cysts under the skin – A relatively common issue post-surgery.
  • Nerve damage – The nerve between nasal bones and cartilage is often affected, leading to numbness, chronic pain, or neuroma (painful nerve growth).
  • Severe infections – If rhinoplasty is combined with sinus surgery in the presence of infection, bacteria (like streptococcus) can invade healing tissues, potentially leading to life-threatening complications.
  • Streptococcal infections – Can cause necrotizing periorbital or orbital infections, which can be disfiguring or fatal.

Red Flags To Look For

WHAT TO  LOOK FOR WHILE RESEARCHING:

1. Researching the Doctor

Check Turkish forums for reviews (Use exact Instagram name with correct accents)
🔗
 Turkish forum link: kadinlarkulubu.com

Verify doctor’s qualifications with the Turkish Health Ministry
📧 Email:
ttb@ttb.org.tr

Be cautious of:

  • Doctors with mostly table pictures and few or no long-term patient results
  • No Google reviews (Means too many bad ones were removed)
  • Surgeons who run schools or training programs (may delegate surgery to students)
  • Long-term results shown only in low-quality selfies from foreign patients
  • Few or no front-view pictures of results
  • Specializing only in Barbie noses (lacking functional/natural nose experience)
  • Surgeons popular with influencers but not Turkish locals (could indicate a poor local reputation)
  • Not a practicing ENT (only a plastic surgeon)

2. Consultation Red Flags

🚩 Avoid doctors who:
❌ Charge for consultations unless well-known (paid consults should be thorough)
❌ Refuse
video consultations for foreign patients
❌ Have assista
nts handle most communication instead of the surgeon
❌ Avoid answering
medical questions or downplay risks ("You'll be fine!")
❌ Do not explain anatomy or exact surgical plans in detail
❌ Say "
I won’t know until I open you up" instead of a clear plan
❌ Only hold
brief, rushed consultations

During consultation, the surgeon should:
✔️ Examine your nose with an endoscope and request a CT scan if needed
✔️ Provide a
clear surgical plan (what will be done step by step, including grafts used)
✔️ Explain the
risks and limitations before you commit to surgery
✔️ Offer
morph simulations of your expected results from multiple angles

3. Hospital & Experience Check

Verify the surgeon’s background:
✔️ Has over 10 years of experience (not just counting training years)
✔️ Worked in
state hospitals (not just private clinics or medical tourism companies)
✔️ Affiliated with
highly-rated hospitals (Check Google reviews of the hospital)
✔️ Holds
higher qualifications (EAFPS or KBB member, not just “Op.”)

🚩 Avoid doctors who:
❌ Work in low-rated hospitals or shady private clinics
❌ Have
no history of Turkish patients (May indicate a bad reputation locally)
❌ Perform
multiple surgeries per day (Indicates rushed procedures)
❌ Also do
non-nose procedures (Facelift, liposuction, etc.)—less specialization

4. Surgery & Recovery Risks

⚠️ Things to clarify before surgery:
🔲 Will scoring the septum be done? (Diagonal cuts can weaken structure)
🔲 What
grafts will be used? (Septal extension grafts make the nose tip permanently stiff)
🔲 Is
alar base reduction necessary? (It’s irreversible!)

🚨 Signs of unethical practices:
❌ Booking too quickly without thorough discussions
❌ Doing
the same nose style for everyone
Changing the plan last-minute or adding procedures without consent
Pushing extra procedures (e.g., facelift, fox eye)
❌ Making you sign consent
right before surgery (when you're pressured to proceed)

5. Patient Reviews & Social Media Stalking

🕵️ How to find real patient experiences:
🔎 Search comments and DM patients (especially those who liked their own before/after photos)
🔎 Join
Telegram, WhatsApp, Reddit, or Facebook groups to hear uncensored experiences
🔎 Track patients with
your nose type and skin tone for realistic comparisons

🚩 Beware of misleading social media tactics:
 ❌ Filtered before/after pictures
❌ Only side profiles shown (hiding front views)
No long-term results (Healing takes over a year—results should be shown at all stages)
No bad reviews (Might mean negative reviews were deleted)

6. Cost vs. Quality

💰 Price Considerations:

  • Expensive ≠ Better. High price does not guarantee great results
  • Too cheap = Red flag. If it’s very significantly lower than average (not compared to very high prices of popular doctors but of regular prices of Turkish ENTs to their own local prices to regular Turkish people) question why. Example: 10K- too high for primary. 2K too low (usually factory clinic prices)
  • Focus on expertise, not price. Some affordable doctors are great, while some expensive ones are scams

Final Rule: Trust Your Instincts

A good surgeon will:
✔️ Take time to answer all your questions
✔️ Be transparent about risks
✔️ Have documented long-term patient results
✔️ Prioritize function
and aesthetics
✔️ Respect your preferences instead of pushing a generic look

🚩 If something feels off, walk away

Doctor Database

 DOCTOR HISTORY AND INFORMATION   (alphabetical):

Verified patients have shared photos and personal experiences reviewed by a collaborator. These aren’t the only cases, just the ones willing to share.

This is not a “botch list.” It’s a collection of patient experiences and medical insights to give context on doctors. Cases are labeled with medical terms and no derogatory statements as they are often misused. Verified patients have sent in pictures, medical records, communication with doctors for evidence..etc This document is for educational purposes not defamation- to help people make informed decisions by hearing all sides.

  • Abdulkadir Goksel  (S,F,N)  1V/ 3 UV - (is on the botched list) One verified patient was spoken to  on a telegram group presented with asymmetries, cartilage collapse, dorsal deformities and lack of breathing. Other unverified patients complained of the same deformity patterns but could not be reached for comment. All have agreed they faced neglect and lack of accountability. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Ahmet Alp   (S,F,N)  3 V / 4UV -  (is on the botched list)  One verified patient presented with a large over- rotation of the nose and wasn't medically  aesthetic (not just subjective)- was given the option for revision but didn't trust the doctor enough to go back and had a successful revision with another surgeon. One patient presented with functional issues but without any aesthetic problems. Another patient presented with collapses on both sides (cartilage and dorsum) with functional issues. Other unverified patients complained of similar issues but could not be reached for comment. Community has mentioned the possibility of the doctor's alleged absence within the surgery itself which could be the reason for the problems arising with patients. All have agreed they faced neglect and lack of accountability. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  •  Ahmet Halit Aydin (S,F, A,N) 5VP, 3UVP  (is on the botched list)- One verified patient with acute cartilage deformity and another with breathing issues. Spoken about negatively amongst the Turkish community as well (can find more on the turkish forum). There's another patient that complained of similar problems but could not be reached. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Ahmet Islam (M, N) - No verified patient could be reached for first person reviews. A few years ago, he  was very famous for revisions in Turkey but has a reputation for not taking accountability if surgery is unsuccessful and patients were given the cold shoulder- at least that is what is being said in the rhinoplasty community. Not much information, requires a lot more research and old patients should be spoken to before making a decision
  • Ahmet Dilber  (S, F, N)  6 V/ 2UV - (is on the botched list) Six verified patients with the same patterns of deformity ranging from asymmetries, collapses in the cartilage, one with two perforations in the septum, crookedness and stitches made in an imprecise manner. Two of those patients have functional issues as well. All have agreed they faced neglect and lack of accountability. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Akbas Arteo (S,F,N) 2V --(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.    He also harassed his patients under bad comments in his google entry/trustpilot. Very unprofessional
  • Alain Bouaziz (France)   (S,F,N) 1V  -(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Alejandro Nogueira (Spain)  (S,F,N) 1V - --Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Alev Camcioglu  (S,F, N) 1V --(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Ali Alper (S,F,N) 2V-  ---(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Ali Evlice  (S,F,N) 4V- -    -(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.   Four verified patients with aesthetic issues that consisted of crookedness, skin irregularities and asymmetries. Two patients with breathing issues. All four faced neglect from the doctor. Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared.
  • Ali Kuscu (S, F, N) 1UV - -Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.

  • Alican Caktur (M,F, N) - Verified turkish patient with a severe deformity in the columella, perforation in the septum and functional issues as a result
  • Alpasian Yildirim  (S,F,N) 5V, 3UV - (is on the botched list)- Five verified patients spoken to that faced severe complications in both aesthetics and functionality and neglect after surgery and had all communication cut off. So many other bad reviews online and on other platforms. He also has assistants to intimidate patients in groups or anyone who speaks out against him
  • Anil Shah (USA)  (S,F,N) 1V -- -Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Arda Pelen (S,F, N)- (is on the botched list) - Four verified  patients expressed that they faced neglect when they asked for revisions for their complications which consisted of collapse of the cartilage, nasal valve collapse, aggressive alarplasty, and deformities in the bridge and bone structure. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Arfat Jawaid (Pakistan) (S,F,N) 1V-  --Patient whose review is posted on another platform reached out to voice their story. Patient went to said doctor for a revision to try to reconstruct her natural nose after being given a short and wide nose by another doctor in Turkey who is incidentally on the botched list. The doctor undermined how extensive and complex the surgery would be and agreed to take on her case. They were left with a nose that is overprojected, droopy, sharply pointed and warped. They were also left with nasal retraction and  sinus problems like constant dripping and blockages. The grafts that were used also impaired their smile and the overall proportions of their features. After a year they went back to him hoping to take out the grafts and fix the other underlying problems but instead of the graft being taken out as they had agreed, he added to the nose and made it even more projected. The doctor did procedures of adding on a cap graft without consent, gaslighting the patient by saying they agreed to what was done, showed no remorse or accountability for both revisions and may have even sabotaged the second revision because the patient had placed a bad review online after the first one. The patient now needs a complex fourth surgery. There are other bad reviews that exist on other platforms.
  • Ari Hyman  (S,F,N) 3V- One verified patient with functional issues and both with aesthetic issues that range from over projection and asymmetries in the tip- radix and bridge also are problem areas. The other has deformities with the dorsum, nostril asymmetries and retraction between the two. No accountability was taken for both. One of the patients has google reviews posted. The other is on a telegram group. Older patients who have come into contact have presented the same deformities of pointed tips, asymmetries and dents. One patient is said to have also sustained damage to the nose following necrosis but could not be contacted. It is verified among the community though.
  • Axel Hemmingsen  (S,F,N) 2V- Two verified patients. One with aesthetic issues that require a complex revision. Another with both functional and aesthetic issues
  • Aytek Uzer (S, F, N) -  Negative experiences of patients  are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Aykut Ozpur   (S,F,N) 1V- ---(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Baver M. Şimşek (A, M, F) Three verified  female patients not pleased with their tip results, asymmetry, droopy, large and not feminine. One patient went back to him for revision who was unsatisfied with the first result and ended up being even more unsatisfied with the revision. In her words, the nose ended up looking more masculine with uneven nostrils, a tip that was too pointed  and other aesthetic problems. This patient experienced functional issues as well, one nostril was blocked and the breathing got worse as time progressed. One other patient has functional issues as well but is going in for an intervention revision with the same surgeon. There are other negative reviews on other platforms such as google reviews and the turkish forum, all aesthetic concerns. So far no severe deformities but this could change as his fame grows (this is marked the beginning of 2025) Note that many doctors who reach a level of fame often start having more unsuccessful surgeries so nothing is promised and nothing is certain. More research must be made. Another thing to note is that many people on the groups have concerns with the group being gatekept and that the group has the doctor’s assistant within it which could make unhappy patients more hesitant to speak out.
  • Bahadir Baykal   (S,F,N) 1V-   --(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Bora Ok  (S,F,N) 3V, 2U - -(is on the botched list)  Three verified patients spoken to had  complex aesthetic issues that range from cartilage collapse, over resection of the dorsum, skin irregularities. Another two also complained of the same patterns of deformities but could not be reached for comment. Patients expressed that they were not given adequate aftercare,  faced neglect and faced lack of accountability. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Burak Alhan - (M,F,N) 2V Two verified patients who have had over rotation and crookedness after surgery, were both told it was just swelling. One has breathing problems and sinus flare ups that weren't  previously there. One had communication cut off after asking for a refund because they didn’t trust the doctor enough for revision. The other was given the option of revision but refused it as well because they had felt “gaslit” while on their healing journey
  • Burak Olgun -(M,F,N) 1V - One verified patient (Turkish) was found through the Turkish forums for comment after they left a comment there which they claim was reported and deleted unfairly. They had a collapsed cartilage on one side, pinched tip and breathing issues. Even though they  was given the option of revision, they refused and instead chose another surgeon and has since had a successful revision
  • Christoph Verhoye (Belgium)  (S,F,N) - -(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Cem Altindag (S, F, N) 1VP -Negative experiences of patients  are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish  platforms
  • Cenk Tekker (S,F, N) 3VP - Three verified patients presented with aesthetic deformities and one with functional. One of the patients is Turkish and even had a revision with the same surgeon but came out with an even more unpleasant result. There is talk within the rhinoplasty community that has raised concerns over reviews being allegedly erased on platforms such as Trust Pilot and facebook. Also there is a huge marketing campaign in places like Bulgaria and Romania rather than with local Turks. This presents a question as to why his clientele come from foreign countries and hardly from Turks. There also aren’t many long term photos on his platform. Bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Davis Richard (FL, USA)(S,F,N) -  --(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Dean Toriumi (USA)-  Well known to have paved the way for grafting techniques, creating his own techniques and writing many publications that have helped doctors and students alike. There are bad reviews online- google reviews and more niche platforms. One verified patient had an unsuccessful surgery and the talk within the rhinoplasty community is that Toriumi may have potentially influenced other surgeons not to take up their case and they went to a Gode instead and had a successful outcome (this could also be the reason Gode became more famous and in the limelight) Something to consider is that some surgeons have a ‘Golden surgery” that goes so well and makes them famous, but at the end of the day even the most famous surgeons (in the US or Turkey or anywhere else) should have their skills questioned for individual cases. There’s also talk that because of the accident Toriumi sustained, his capabilities may not be as good as it was before. All alleged statements but something to keep in mind. *Some  doctors are a last resort for revision patients. Primary patients should not be going to “last resort revision doctors”

  • Deniz Dilek  (M,F, A,N) 1VP - One verified patient from google reviews (their review has since been deleted even though there’s a screenshot proving it was there a few months ago) and they were kind enough to show their photos and tell their story. They presented skin  irregularities, asymmetries and crookedness. But what affected them most was the breathing issues. They expressed they faced neglect from the surgeon and a cold shoulder. They have since had a successful revision with another doctor

Dogan Pinar  (M,F, A,N) 5VP, 3UVP - Many verified patients on facebook who all have similar grievances that not much was changed about their nose and yet the issues that they went into surgery for were mostly unchanged. Two patients spoke about how their bridges were overly “scooped” and their tips did not have adequate support and remained droopy and large. Another patient complained about asymmetries and crookedness but no photos were posted. Many of the patients expressed that they didn't feel like their complaints were being heard and understood by the doctor. It’s unclear if they were given the option of revision

  • Emre Ilhan  (S,F,N) 6VP, 5UVP - (is on the botched list) All patients- 6 verified patients and 5 others who could not be reached to ask for photos-  expressed that they faced so much neglect and lack of accountability. Especially those of non- caucasian descent. They expressed how they felt if they didn't fit the mold of a very specific “look” they were not taken seriously and disrespected. All of them paid large amounts of money to only face aesthetic deformities such as saddle noses, over rotation, cartilage collapse, nasal asymmetries and many with breathing issues. One was even laughed at when they  went back for a revision consultation. Many bad reviews from other patients exist within different platforms and are being shared
  • Emre Kocak (Professor Hasan Emre Kocak) (S,F,N) 4V, 8+UV -  (is on the botched list) Verified patients all complained of the same pattern of deformities: Columella flattened without consent, deformities due to over resection of cartilage , a larger and more bulbous tip, nasal asymmetry, very bad scarring and functional problems. The other patients were unable to be reached due to the inactivity of the group chat after so many unsuccessful surgeries. Many of the old patients are not active anymore
  • Emre Turkman   (S,F,N) - (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Emrah Celik  (S,F,N) -(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications. The surgeon also has an association with a clinic that have a history of neglect and deleting reviews
  • Enrico Robotti (Italy)  (S,F,N)  -- (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Evgeni Grozdanov (S,F,N)  -  --Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Enis Ekincioglu (S, F, N) -Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Eray Bayindir (S, F, N) - Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Erdem Caglar  (S,F,N) -  (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Eren Boldaz  (M,N) - (is on the botched list) Group chats on certain platforms have verified patients who have reported a surge of infections recently (End of 2024) and what raised some eyebrows is the surgeon himself came into the group to “clarify” why there were so many infection cases amongst his patients. There is talk in the community that unhappy patients are being silenced by more successful patients and that anything shared on the groups are seen by his assistants. There are five verified asian patients that all had rib cartilage. Two developed infections. One was a silicone revision case, the other two were primary. Two had bad columella scarring and alarplasty scarring. All five asian patients rib had 100% absorbed
  • Eren Tastan  (S,F,N) Even though patients could not be reached to gain first person information, it is widely understood in the rhinoplasty community that patients who have had unsuccessful surgeries faced a lot of neglect, lack of accountability and gaslighting after their surgery. Among one of the toughest surgeons to find information about as it was extremely hard to track older patients to get more information since a lot of them were patients from a few years ago. There is a general consensus that a few years ago, his quick rise to fame created a negative shift in his results. The statements are as follows: that some of the nose results come out bulky, some without adequate blood supply because of the stretched skin with calluses and seromas. There is also an understanding that there is a lack of effort in aftercare, where previous patients felt abandoned afterwards.
  • Eric W Cerrati (USA)  (S,F,N) - (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Erdem Tezel  (M,F, A,N) - Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Erdi Ozdemir  (M,F, A,N) - Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish  platforms
  • Erkan Soylu (M,N) 30VP, 5UVP (is on the botched list) The surgeon has accumulated a number of complaints from at least 30 unhappy patients, exposing both aesthetic and functional failures. Patients have reported severe post-surgical complications, including unexpected crookedness, breathing difficulties, undefined and amorphous nasal structures, and feminized noses given to male patients. High bridges and radixes are sometimes  imposed regardless of patient preferences, resulting in outcomes that fail to meet expectations. A critical issue is the complete absence of pre-surgical morphs, forcing patients to trust the surgeon’s vision without any visual assurance. When results are unsatisfactory, patients describe being gaslit and dismissed. Despite guaranteeing a “best and last” surgery, the surgeon frequently backtracks, claiming that some patients require a “part two” procedure—directly contradicting prior assurances. Failed revisions are frequent, yet responsibility is rarely taken. Revisions are only offered at the surgeon’s discretion, leaving many patients with unresolved concerns and no viable recourse. Post-operative care is grossly inadequate. The surgeon refuses to see patients for follow-ups before one year, leaving them to navigate their healing alone, without professional oversight. This disregard for patient welfare fosters unnecessary distress and uncertainty. Complaints about widened noses, asymmetries, skin irregularities, and reduced columella structure have surfaced repeatedly, including on Turkish forums, indicating systemic issues rather than isolated cases. Many patients have suffered severe emotional distress and identity loss due to unanticipated and dramatic alterations to their facial features. Given the undeniable pattern of complications, deceptive reassurances, neglectful post-operative care, and refusal to acknowledge mistakes, prospective patients should be extremely cautious - the surgeon’s approach raises significant ethical and professional concerns, and those considering surgery are strongly advised to seek alternative options.
  • Eymen Oruc (clinic hub) (S) - A recent patient of his contracted an infection within 3 days after surgery
  • Eyup Bozkurt   (S,F,N) -   (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.

The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Iller Kocak (S,F, A,N) 2V, UV+-  Two verified patients were reached out to after they left reviews on different platforms. One patient expressed that their surgery went on for too long and for a time the nurses were not able to wake them up. They were awoken with a slap on her cheek from the doctor telling her to wake up. The patient went on to say that the experience was deeply traumatizing and they had health concerns- which they believe is due to being under for too long. Another patient explained that the surgeon was too heavy handed with her rhinoplasty, resulting with an over-rotated tip that looks piggish, an over-resected bridge and dorsum that resulted in a scar like dent and can no longer breathe. They are  now seeking revision. There is talk that there are more unsatisfied patients in groups but their stories haven’t come to light yet.
  •  Isa Kaya p  (S,F,N) - -So many bad reviews and shockingly negative experiences. It should be noted that most of his posts are table pictures and very little long term results
  •  Ismail Kucuker  (S,F,N) A patient sent in pictures of her CT scan, expressing that they were given ENS (empty nose syndrome- an irreversible condition that requires complex revision with a conchal implant) and also an over rotation of her tip. They posted this on multiple platforms and when the surgeon replied back, their response was cold and dismissive- saying it was impossible that the patient  had gotten ENS. This was a very public display on Instagram. He even stated  that her symptoms were because they failed to use the right sprays to keep her airways moist during healing and that was what was giving her ENS symptoms. For context, ENS comes from the over reduction of the turbinates which cause painful dryness and the feeling of being suffocated even though you can in fact breathe. It is very hard to diagnose by most ENTs and seeing as Kucucker is not an ENT, his claims of it being impossible should be questioned. And also, not using a moisturizing spray isn't going to prevent ENS symptoms if ENS is present
  •  Ivan jordanov  (S, N) -  --Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.

  •  Görkem Atsal  (S,F,N)- Many bad reviews from verified patients- everything from facelifts, fat transfers  to rhinoplasty. Severe lack of accountability and neglect
  • Hakan Avci  (M,F, A,N) 2VP- Two verified patients complained of the same over-rotation and shortened columella- leading to a piggish appearance. Both requested for revisions. One was accepted (no information whether the surgery was successful as they have stopped communication with those who reached out to them) and the other was told that there were no problems.
  • Hakan Şirinoğlu  (S,F,N) -   (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Haken Gence  (S,F,N)   (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Harun acipayam (S,F, A,N) - One verified Turkish patient was reached out to through her reviews online and was kind enough to share their story and photos. They was left with severe breathing difficult after surgery, constant runny nose, a hanging columella that is not  well supported, pinched nose from over resection, cartilage collapse on one side, a scar where the suture was made on the columella that was made in an imprecise manner. He dismissed all of their complaints and told them it was swelling and allergies and then cut off all communication with her
  • Hasan Cakar (S, F,N) - Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Hasan Demirhan ( A,N) 1VP - One verified patient from a telegram group expressed being unsatisfied with her result. They  had no functional issues but from her photos there are asymmetries in the tip area, dents on the sides (pinched tip) and a hanging columella. They  stated that they tried to put her review on google but it was taken down many times. They believe other people’s reviews are being deleted as well
  • Havva Duripek (S,F,N)  - Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Huseyin Balikci   (A,) - One verified primary patient had a very unsuccessful surgery, There is also talk within the rhinoplasty community that there are many unhappy patients of his with drooping tips, asymmetries  and overall aesthetically unsuccessful results for the large expense. It is also widely understood that he has to revise many of his own patients.
  • Huseyin Karabulut  (A, N) 1VP, 7UVP- One verified patient from a telegram group showed pictures of her nose publicly. There was a deviation with the onlay graft that was added to her bridge (ethnic patient) and asymmetries in the nostrils from an alarplasty. They  expressed their concerns to the surgeon but he said it was only swelling. It is not known if they went back for revision with the same doctor as communication with the patient was lost. Although unverified, on the Turkish forum that there are seven unhappy patients who have aesthetic issues. The aesthetic issues are unknown and it is also unknown if they have functional issues. One of the patients has stated that they have an infection after surgery.
  • Jason Roostaeian - An admin of a facebook group had an unsuccessful surgery. Couldn't be reached for a full story but from what is heard it seems like something to look into if considering this doctor. There are bad google reviews that exist

  •  Kassir (USA) (S,F,N) 2VP - - --Bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Kim Patrick Murray (USA)-  Patients with bad experiences were reached out to but unfortunately were not present for comment. Someone in the Rhinoplasty community eloquently shared their insights on the surgeon. We would like to thank that source for their perspectives and hope that the information they shared helps someone else make a sensible decision. They shared their concerns that KPM does not have long term photos, and that the particular grafts they use do not tend to age well long term results either. They also stated the fact that he has only been in practice relatively recently and is using his own methodology when it comes to grafts which could pose a problem with patients down the line.
  • Kirk Lozada (USA) (S,F,N) 1VP- The patient did not have functional issues coming into surgery. In the beginning, the doctor conducted himself in a way that showed that he could achieve a simple de-projection as the main aesthetic concern was a bulbous nose tip and nothing more. It was supposed to be a very simple procedure and there was never a discussion of grafting. The surgery also added on an alarplasty that was done incorrectly and left the patient with horrific scars, deforming the shape of the nostrils and unnaturally narrowing the base of the nose- which was not at all needed as their nostrils were already small to begin with- reinforcing the problems in functionality. Unnecessary grafts were added that not only built onto the unwanted projection but these specific grafts are widely known to narrow the nose even further. Very early on the patient noticed extreme asymmetry because of the types of grafts used and was only told that it was swelling that would improve over time. The patient then learned that the graft became adhered to one side of the septum, creating tension in the axis of the nose and the asymmetry that was noticed early on. A septoplasty was also performed without consent and the signed consent forms held no mention of the grafts that were used or a sign off for septoplasty. Other specific and necessary cartilage in the nose was also trimmed along with ligaments that are crucial for nose support and durability. The doctor not only dodged accountability but gave misinformation about the grafts used, what was done, what could be done in the future. He left the patient’s nose weaker, unnecessarily over grafted, with severe discomfort, pain and impaired breathing and now they require a complex revision

  • Memet Yazar  (S,F,N) - (is on the botched list) So many horribly tragic experiences from patients. The details are so harrowing, with so many infection cases due to unhygienic hospital environments and equipment. The lack of accountability is blanketed for all the patients who have suffered and not only that, the severe aesthetic deformities  and functionality problems were never addressed. All the patients were abandoned with their suffering. Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared.
  • Michael S.F. Bromba(S,F,N)---Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Muhammed Faith Evcimik  (S,M, F,N) - Five verified patients with the same patterns of crookedness and lack of breathing. One of them went for revision twice and when it kept failing, all communication was cut off. All of them faced neglect and no accountability and were told that their breathing issues and crookedness were there from the start
  •  Mehmet Akif Yildirm ( A,) - One verified patient expressed concern over asymmetries in the tip, over rotation  and an over-resected  bridge. They did have breathing difficulties but they were only six months in their healing so it's unclear if the breathing difficulties continued because they couldn’t be reached for more details.
  • Mehmet Can Ubur   (M,F, A,N) 2VP - Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. The common trend is that his results look amazing early PO, but after a few months/year the nose looks much worse (crooked bridge, droopy, less defined). Not an ENT, just a plastic surgeon. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Mehmet Emre Dinc- (S,A, N)  One verified patient who had a severely reduced bridge, upturned tip and asymmetrical nostrils
  • Mehmet Erdil (A, F)- Has had unsatisfied patients but has been shown to take accountability (so far, which could change in the future with fame and over working, this is posted beginning of 2025 so this could change at any time. Don’t just follow the hype) One patient had breathing issues which he took accountability for and performed a revision- it's unknown what the results of the revision was. Another patient expressed that her bridge was lowered more than they consented to and is unhappy with the result. And another patient had  nostril valve collapse (it's unknown if it’s due to the alarplasty or over resection and it’s also unknown if the patient is going back to him for revision) There is a general consensus in the rhinoplasty community that the aftercare isn’t the best and it takes a long time for any questions to be answered by the assistant after surgery. Seems like primary is his strong suit
  • Mehmet Gocek (M) VP - Has said to be trained in Asian noses but  is not as highly qualified as other Turkish surgeons and is quite young. One verified (Asian patient) expressed that her nose seems unnatural, pointy and too raised with the onlay graft he put in. They are also unsatisfied with the fat transfer he performed on their forehead because it “looks like a ball”. His mentor is Selim Turan- A known botcher. Yet oddly enough, he has more years of experience on his resume than Turan. Both doctors have only 5-7 years of experience. The numbers aren’t adding up

  • Muhammet Dilber(S,F,N) 8VP, 1UVP   (is on the botched list) So many verified patients with a slew of different types of deformities from asymmetrical nostrils, collapsed cartilages, perforation in the septums, crookedness when there was none before, breathing difficulties in more than half of the verified patients, over rotation, dents, open roof deformity, badly done alarplasties  and the list goes on. Community has mentioned the possibility of the doctor's alleged absence within the surgery which could be the reason for the problems arising with patients.

  • Nazli Selvi  (S,F,N) 1VP , 3UV+  One verified patient with severe deformities in the bone structure, dorsum, cartilage and an alarplasty that was haphazardly done that caused breathing issues and is not reversible. Another patient had an infection that was present on the nose since castoff. Got blocked by the surgeon when the patient flew back to their home country.  There are other patients with the same pattern of deformities and they faced neglect and no accountability
  • Niyazi Altintoprak (S,F,N) One verified patient with ENS symptoms after turbinate reduction (an irreversible condition that can only be fixed with complex revision and a concha implant) faced neglect and no accountability. Was not told about the full risks of rhinoplasty and feels deceived because they stated to the doctor the importance of functionality in the consultation. They were also left with a wider nose, the bridge shaved down aggressively (not consented to) when they  only wanted a minor hump shaved slightly and the surgeon cut off communication after complaints were made.

  • Saban Celebi(S,F,N) (is on the botched list) Again, one of the hardest surgeons to get a straightforward answer about. Mixed reviews (as always with very famous names) but there are negative reviews that exist and are pretty concerning. Verified patients were very hard to come across because their surgeries took place a few years ago. So this is based on context and information from the rhinoplasty community overall. There is talk that two patients were given ENS, this is widely spoken about in the community as well as infection cases that happened in the past. There are  negative reviews for that posted on different platforms. One patient also had their rib harvested and complained of  debilitating pain on their side but faced coldness from the surgeon and felt neglected in her suffering, they also faced an infection in their nose after surgery. It is also understood that medical information about the patient was leaked and that is a violation of doctor- patient privilege. Another patient expressed that they had breathing issues as well after surgery. A verified patient (pictures posted on other platforms but are well known)  had their noses “scooped” and rotated more than they consented to (for context, they are male) and that left them with identity loss. Even though this may seem small to some, this poses a problem as unsuccessful male rhinoplasty results aren’t talked about as often. Losing a masculine identity can be crippling- especially if another result was promised. Someone noted that complex revisions tend to go better than primaries or non- complex revisions with Celebi and gave the theory that there might not be an adequate effort involved or his presence is missed in certain non complex procedures. All alleged statements but something to note. The overall consensus is that primaries and mild revision cases should stay away. There is also talk in the community that there are promoters. There is talk that he comes into surgery overworked and tired. Again, it's alleged but, in the name of being neutral everything should be recorded and considered. And finally, talk that he can be quite dismissive if a problem were to arise.  *Some  doctors are a last resort for revision patients. Primary patients should not be going to “last resort revision doctors”
  • Shekruz Sheyda/Sheida (S,F,N)-   (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Shepherd Green Pryor (S,F,N) - - (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Shuaib Natsheh (S,F,N)-  Cartilage was over-resected, leading to an alar and lateral collapse on one side. The patient also suffers from impaired functionality and breathing issues. Patient was blocked on social networking sites after being told it was simply all in their head. When they asked for their money back they were then threatened.
  • Selçuk Yazan/Inanli  (S,F,N)-   (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.

Selim Turan (S,F,N) 25+VP  (is on the botched list)

 25 verified patients

Necrosis & Infection: Patients developed necrosis, resulting in open wounds, with no accountability from the surgeon. Additionally, there are cases of columellar infections, nostril infections, and one internal infection that resulted in repeated bloody noses. Another patient developed an infection months after surgery and due to a lack of proper intervention, the infection led to a very complex structural deformity of the nose. There could be many more that remain unaccounted for.

Permanent Functional Damage: Patients were left with a non-functioning nose, severe breathing impairments, and unauthorized aesthetic changes performed without their consent. Many patients also suffer from new functional impairments that were not present prior to surgery, even those who had already undergone revisions elsewhere.

Male Patients: Six male patients were given complications ranging from amorphously wide and undefined noses to overly rotated and overly pointed nasal tips. Some were left with very complex bridge deformities, alarplasty deformities, and significant functional issues. This not only affected their breathing but also resulted in a profound loss of their ethnic and masculine identity. One patient was given aesthetic changes that went against their ethnic identity, resulting in functional issues, discomfort from scar tissue, and an alarplasty that was performed without precision or care, removing too much alar tissue. Most of these patients now require a complex revision that only a limited number of doctors have the skills to perform.

Over-Rotation in Patients: Several patients were given over-rotated noses, distorting their natural features. There are now over twelve patients with the same overly and unnaturally pointed nasal tip deformity. This seems to be a repeated complication caused by the surgeon’s technique, which does not change despite repeated failures. The surgeon also performs multiple surgeries in a single day, which could explain why so many deformities result from his work.

Severe Breathing & Aesthetic Issues: Older patients have reported similar patterns of over-rotation, aggressive cartilage removal, tight interdomal sutures, excessive projection, and shield grafts that create unnatural, pinched nasal tips. Many of these patients now struggle with chronic breathing issues, nasal collapse, and irreversible aesthetic distortions.

Multiple Failed Revisions: Some patients underwent revision surgeries that failed to correct initial mistakes, leaving them worse off than before. Others were misled into believing their issues were minor, only to later realize the extent of the damage.

Unethical Behavior & Gaslighting: Patients who expressed concerns before surgery had their requests ignored. One patient clearly stated their aesthetic preferences multiple times but was given the opposite of what was agreed upon. When complications arose, they were dismissed, blamed, or encouraged to undergo additional revisions at their own expense. The surgeon actively threatens patients who speak out about their unsuccessful surgeries. Many patients fear discussing their experiences due to intimidation. He has also threatened to contact other doctors to prevent botched patients from receiving the necessary medical interventions and revisions they desperately need after the destruction he caused. He has also been mentored by a surgeon with a history of unsuccessful surgeries, similar intimidation tactics and is notorious of neglecting and ghosting patients after failed surgeries

Unnecessary & Harmful Techniques: In some cases, procedures were performed without the patient’s knowledge, leading to complications that only specialists can now attempt to fix. Some patients were subjected to overly aggressive reductions, leaving them with structural instability, nostril asymmetries, or tight, unnatural-looking noses.

Post-Surgical Health Decline: Some patients reported health issues after surgery, including chronic fatigue, sinus problems, sleep disturbances, and anxiety—not only from being abandoned and neglected with no aftercare from the surgeon but also from being threatened not to speak out for fear that the surgeon would sabotage their revision with other doctors.

Biased Rhetoric Within the Groups: Misleading narratives within the community often originate from promoters with ties to the surgeon, patients emotionally invested in justifying their decisions, and individuals financially committed to surgery who refuse to acknowledge risks. Stories of harm have been dismissed as mere rumors due to the surgeon’s denial, despite his history of concealing mistakes. Demanding proof of another’s tragedy serves only self-interest, as those seeking reassurance in statistics will rationalize their choices regardless of the evidence. While surgery is a personal decision, disregarding legitimate health concerns to avoid confronting one’s own fears distorts reality. To truly understand the risks, speak with a revision patient. Due to the consistent pattern of complications, misleading assurances, inadequate post-operative care, and unwillingness to acknowledge errors, prospective patients should exercise extreme caution. The surgeon's practices raise serious ethical and professional concerns, making it strongly advisable to consider other options.

  •  Sercan Bariskan  (S,F,N) -  (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  •  Sercan Gode  (S,F,N) 4V, 9UV+  (is on the botched list)  Among one of the toughest surgeons to find information about. There are many verified patients that caught infections and necrosis after their surgeries with him. For context,  2-3 years ago he became very popular and was lengthening revision patients with too much cartilage. Bulking up the nose and stretching the skin outside its bounds, stopped circulation and caused infections. It was extremely hard to track older patients to get more information since a lot of them were patients from a few years ago. But the consensus is that they faced lack of accountability and neglect after the complications and were left to face their struggles and heartache alone. Within the rhinoplasty community, the technique of closed approach is controversial. To be as neutral as possible in the findings, a closed approach is not for all cases, especially if there are no skin problems. Even though people prefer it, closed approaches can pose unnecessary risks if done incorrectly as most doctors need to see what's being done in the nose. The level of skill in a  closed approach technique is what needs to be researched more into. That being said, cases that have skin issues from multiple surgeries might not be able to take the trauma of an open technique and require a closed technique as a last resort. Some extreme cases are rejected outright  by most surgeons and have no other options- Nazari is the one of the surgeons who takes on extreme cases but no patients  have been spoken to get a full understanding of their long term experience. Hence, if it’s not a last resort option with the skin envelope still intact- meaning you are a primary or a revision case with good skin- take Gode’s  history as a huge warning and look somewhere else- you have other options.  If it's a last resort option, wait and talk to more patients (there aren’t very many new long term patients to base a decision on) to get a better understanding since his background is shrouded in a lot of  mystery and unsuccessful surgeries. There is also talk in the community that there are promoters. It’s alleged but, in the name of being neutral everything should be recorded and considered.*Some  doctors are a last resort for revision patients. Primary patients should not be going to “last resort revision doctors”
  • Suleyman Tas (S,F,N) 8VP, 3UV+   (is on the botched list) A huge number of verified patients suffered extreme complications that caused irreparable damage and no accountability or remorse was received from the surgeon. The complications consist of open scars and necrotic tissue in unsuccessful facelifts that cannot be revised- these came from the sutures not being placed correctly or too tightly. Patients who received rhinoplasties from him  ranged from severe deformities of cartilage collapses, asymmetries in the nostrils, haphazard stitching which caused bad scarring, pollybeak, open roof, inverted V deformity, saddle noses and much more. The biggest grievance these patients faced was being gaslit and left alone to suffer. There is talk in the rhinoplasty community that he isn't present in his surgeries. These are alleged statements that raise concerns.
  • Sahin Ulu  (S,F,N) 4VP, 1UVP - Four verified patients presented with aesthetic deformities and two  with functional. All patients from Romania which is concerning as the surgeon has a very large marketing campaign targeted for that region. This presents a question as to why there is a huge focus on bringing clientele from  that region and hardly any from local Turks. Questions that should make you think
  • Şamil Şahin  (,M,F,N) 2VP, 1UV- Two verified patients presented with aesthetic results that went against what was consented to and agreed upon. Both patients have functional problems. One of the patients has a slight saddle nose deformity  and a nasal collapse to one side.
  • Sureyya Seneldir (S,F,N)  -  (is on the botched list) Verified patients were spoken to and all of them have the same patterns: breathing difficulties and crookedness. They also faced a lot of neglect in the aftercare even when they had severe bleeding after surgery. Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Salim Yuce (S,F,N)- Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Salih Aydin (S,F,N) 4V, 1V - Four verified patients who had unsatisfactory results. One of the patients on the google reviews were reached out to and they were kind enough to show pictures of the crookedness that was left behind after having a straight nose. They also were left with breathing issues when previously having had perfect breathing. They had only gone in for a slight shaving and refinement of the bridge and nasal tip but instead their nose was performed on with more than they consented to. The other verified patients also have breathing problems and other aesthetic issues with their tips such as drooping, pinched tips and asymmetries. The last patient has minor collapse in the bone area but no functional issues and a nasal valve collapse on one side. They are 9 months in healing.. There are other google reviews as well from unverified patients. All the verified patients expressed that they faced no accountability whatsoever, neglect and gaslighting. There is talk as well that the assistant to the doctor is present in whatsapp and facebook groups and threatens anyone who sends bad reviews or speaks negatively about them.
  • Sedat Ruzgar (M,F,N,A) 6V, 3UV-  All six of the verified patients expressed heartache from the aesthetic result. Two of them were subjectively aesthetic issues but they expressed that it was a style done without their consent and very different from what was agreed to in the morphs. The other four all had varying deformities such as over rotation, displaced onlay grafts (ethnic primary case), saddle nose, asymmetries in the nostril and one with a retracted columella. All of them expressed the same thing: that their needs were not met and when they reached out for aftercare they were told that it was only swelling and then the contact trailed off and they were never replied to again
  • Serhan Derin (M,F, A,N) 2VP, UV- A verified patient  got both  their  primary and revision with the same surgeon. The first time, certain procedures they didn’t consent to were done to their nose and in their revision, her aim was to fix the changes that they didn’t consent to doing- which also resulted in a slight saddle nose deformity.  At first, the doctor didn’t want to do the revision and only when pressed with legal action did he agree to it. There are no functional issues  after the revision, but the saddle nose is recurring. Other patients who had unsatisfactory results and expressed their unhappiness  were intimidated and threatened with legal action. Also to make a note, an assistant reached out to stop bad reviews from being spread about both Derin and Yilidrim at the same time and in the same message. This isn’t the only strange association as Derin was  also associated with Doku Clinic and Doku is well known for hiding and deleting negative reviews. You can make your own determination with that information
  • Sertug Sinan Ege  (M, A) 3VP -  Verified patients from google reviews were reached out to and they were kind enough to show pictures of their result. They didn’t present severe deformities  or functional issues, but one had a pinched tip and crookedness in the bridge and another had asymmetrical nostrils (due to crookedness of the dorsum that was not fixed correctly so the added alarplasty highlighted the crookedness even more). Both patients expressed that they were given the cold shoulder when they asked for revision and communication was cut off by the assistant and they could never reach the doctor directly. Another patient in the groups showed signs of slight asymmetry in the nostrils and very slight crookedness in the columella, but was satisfied with her result. Pattern of crookedness and asymmetries should be questioned
  • Tanya Judge (S,F,N)  -  (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Tatarinstsev (Russia)(S,F,N)- - --Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The  patient(s) faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor in not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Teoman Dogan (S,F,N)-  (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Timur Batmaz  (M,F, A,N) 1V- One verified patient presented with a deformity in their dorsum. The deformity is believed to be an inverted V with an over rotation
  • Tolga Bilece  ( M, N) - One verified patient was reached out to. They showed their before and after and their issues were generally aesthetic issues. No deformities or functional issues. But the nose was shortened against their consent, the tip lacked definition and the result wasn't what was agreed to on the morphs. They also expressed that the doctor was not present during the cast off. They felt as though they were not given adequate aftercare and everything felt rushed
  • Turgut Yuce  (M,F, A,N) 1V- Two verified patients (from Turkey)  with asymmetries, a pinched tip and skin irregularities. One was given the option of revision but chose to revise it with another surgeon
  • Tural Fatulayeve (M, A,N) 2V- Two verified patients (from Turkey) unsatisfied with their results, one primary and one revision. Whilst they expressed they have no major deformities or breathing issues they have expressed a lot of “coldness and distance” from the doctor after they asked for a revision. They were told that there was nothing wrong and that it was no cause for surgery and ultimately communication was cut off. There are other patients (photos were not seen) that have expressed the same patterns of neglect and in aftercare. They also expressed that the surgeries took too long and one of them suspected it's because the surgeon lets students be present in the surgeries for teaching purposes.
  • Ufuk Duzenli (S,F,N~) 4VP-

Patient 1: Collapsed Nasal Bridge (Aesthetic Concern)

  • Experienced nasal bridge collapse but no functional issues.
  • Despite overall satisfaction, requires revision surgery for correction.
  • Opting to return to the same surgeon.

Patient 2: Severe Structural & Functional Complications

  • Developed collapsed nasal valve, over-resected dorsum (pollybeak deformity), displaced bone, septal deviation near the plate, ocular pain, and septal nerve damage.
  • A section of the nasal bone on the left side is missing due to over-resection.
  • Nasal bones were narrowed without consent, leading to severe breathing difficulties and chronic pain (previously had perfect breathing).
  • The doctor initially dismissed concerns, attributing visible issues to swelling, sinus problems, hormone imbalances, or blood pressure issues—despite medical reports proving otherwise.
  • Surgical outcome did not match pre-surgical morphs; the patient received drastically different results than what was agreed upon.
  • When complications became undeniable, the doctor stated:
“Everyone makes mistakes; we are not God.”
  • Offered a non-sterile in-office intervention (radiofrequency and grafting under local anesthesia) rather than a proper hospital-based revision, despite the high risks of infection and necrosis.
  • This "solution" was only proposed after months of the patient pleading for help, enduring constant chronic pain, and struggling with severe breathing difficulties.

Patient 3: Unplanned Aesthetic Outcome

  • Final result did not match the agreed-upon surgical plan.
  • Nasal tip appears overly pointed.

Patient 4: Severe Aesthetic & Functional Issues (Reported on Another Platform)

  • Severely narrowed nasal bones and an overly resected dorsum.
  • Resulted in visible asymmetry and functional impairments.

  • Umit Kucuktepe   (M,F, A,N) 2V, 2UV- Two verified patients from google reviews were reached out and spoken to and fortunately were very open to sharing their experiences and photos. One was foreign born with asymmetries and crookedness after the surgery, no breathing problems. From the photos the nose was indeed crooked and not an exaggeration. Revision was presented to the patient instead of a refund but the patient felt as though they couldn't trust the doctor any longer because they were constantly being assured that it was “only swelling”. They expressed they would have felt comfortable returning for a revision if they had been told the honest truth about the nature of their result but they didn't find that in their aftercare. The other verified patient also had the same pattern of deformity but on a more moderate scale and slight breathing problems. They also expressed no trust with the doctor to go in for revision and subsequently chose another surgeon.
  • Umur Akiner  (M,F, A,N) 2VP- Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Umut Erdogan (M,A,N) 6VP - Six verified patients sent in photos and documentation on different groups and platforms. One patient wishes to stay anonymous but presented with a very large complication. The other patients presented with aesthetic issues like collapses and crookedness and functional breathing issues. Some suffered neglect and lack of accountability
  • Ugur Sahin (M,F, A,N) 1VP, 1UVP -  Negative experiences of patients are present in Turkish groups and are being shared on Turkish forums. Patients could not be reached to gain first person information but bad reviews exist within Turkish platforms
  • Umit Taskin (S,F,N)-  (is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • Yasser Aboudan (Romania) (S,F,N) 1VP  -(is on the botched list) Many bad reviews exist within other platforms and are being shared. The patients faced complications that require complex revision and neglect from the doctor not taking accountability for such complications.
  • YUSUF ORHAN UCAL (clinic hub)  (S,F,N) 12VP+  (is on the botched list) A whole pdf of patients and their deformities have been published in groups and other platforms. The group was threatened and taken down by the threats of the clinic that is associated with the doctor. One new patient has recently come into contact and has expressed aesthetic problems of a pinched tip, asymmetries, drooping tip and the dorsal hump-that was supposed to be lowered- being exactly how it was prior to surgery. Other verified patients have severe issues with functionality as well as aesthetic deformities, many of them with infections as well. Unfortunately many of the doctors associated with this specific clinic also have patients with severely unsuccessful surgeries who have suffered horrendous neglect from the clinic and the doctors when complications were presented to them . Also note that any clinics pose a risk as they potentially can  perform surgeries outside of a regulated hospital setting and instead, perform it in satellite hospitals that are not equipped if medical emergencies were to happen. You would have to be wheeled out and taken to an actual hospital.

Ziad Katrib (USA)- Most prominent mention is of a patient who is seeking revision after having had  titanium plates placed within the nose (to anchor the septum) . That’s one of the most concerning aspects of his revisions as there are inanimate materials being used other than titanium as well . He does have many bad reviews online that you should look into if you’re considering him. Try to reach out to old patients. There are mentions within the rhinoplasty community that patients were told to sign NDAs. Allegedly some were told they did something wrong in the healing process (like bump their nose) and that's why they had subpar results. There are also some mentions of a primary result gone wrong, was given an NDA  and refunded. *Some doctors are a last resort for revision patients. Primary patients should not be going to “last resort revision doctors”
