Re:        Annual General Meeting 2023 Minutes

Dear SCRRS Members, 

Please find below minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in person and virtually on Sunday October 15, 2023.

The AGM started at 2:03 PM on October 15, 2023. 14 People were present.  Jeff Nolan appeared a day early and wanted to be recorded as present.

Quorum was set at 4 People (19 Members that paid dues as per the P&P’s): Quorum was met, and a meeting was held.

President

• Review of SCRRS Survey

• For payment updates, referees could submit a W-9 to all colleges and get paid as vendors.

• Review of Treasurer position and difficulties
• 501c3 status not valid and being reviewed by accounting company
• Reviewed assignments
• Reviewed increase to $125 for referees
• Reviewed training courses (L1)
• Discussed DE&I position
• SCYR - Valerie is leaving so need to establish a relationship with the new member.

Vice President

• Allocations went well this year.
• Need more referees for busy weekends.
• Travel

• For over 200 miles, hotel, meal reimbursement will be available.

DE&I

• Provide a summary of the roles and responsibilities.

RDO

• Highlighted the jobs that everyone does and is involved with to develop referees.
• Legion Training was reviewed
• Suggested that we host a tournament to help train referees

• Nov 18?

• Also partnering with Legion Academy, Rhinos and LA team
• Needs more help - David Mushinskie offered to help

• Key issues is attendance

Secretary

• Administrative consolidation
• Discussed the Disciplinary Process

• All referees are responsible for submitting the information on time and accurately

Treasurer

• The position was overwhelming but most of the items were covered throughout the year.
• Updates provided on the slides
• Austin asked for clarify on how the collections were proceeding

• Additional invoices issues
• Teams informed they will not get referees until payment is received

Old Business

• Admin registration increased to $75
• Leveling system update is being worked on by USAR

New Business

• Budget approved
• International exchanges being worked on for UK, Fiji, South Africa and possibly Mexico
• Steve Vent proposed that administrator positions are paid.  To investigate this, he proposed a committee to investigate how this would be done.  No objections to this proposal so Steve Vent and David Mushinskie will lead the committee.

Elections

President

Nicholas Ricono has been re-elected president of SCRRS

Vice President

Gilbert De La Garza has been re-elected vice president of SCRRS

RDO

This position had an additional nominee.  After discussion a second RDO position was nominated by Bradley Davidson, seconded by Alexis Alfaro.  The motion was passed so a second RDO position was created for an RDO Community position.  The current RDO position would be the High Performance RDO position.

Marquise Goodwin has been elected RDO of High Performance of SCRRS

Roche Sanchez has been elected Community RDO of SCRRS

A motion was made and passed to review and update the bylaws before the end of 2023.  David Mushinskie and Austin Reed will assist in this committee.

Treasurer

Alexis de Fries has been elected treasurer of SCRRS

Secretary

Bradley Davidson has been re-elected secretary of SCRRS

Promotions

The following members were promoted:

Kirk Swanner to Level 6

Ray Sham to level 7

Victor Njunga to level 7

Gregor MacDonald to level 6

Benjamin Lebeaupin to level 7

Francis Mariner to level 7

Frank Palumbo to level 6

Alexis de Fries to level 7

Jacob Gonzales to level 5

The AGM was adjourned at 4:57 pm on October 15 2023, PDT.
