Basic Cabled Mittens Using Magic Loop Adapted from Amy O’Dell’s pattern
Size: Women’s Medium
Finished Measurements: 3” cuff, 8” from start of hand to tip (11” total from cuff to tip); 7” circumference; 2.5” thumb from inner corner to tip.
Yarn: Any worsted or Aran weight, ~180 yards
Needles: US 6 (if using worsted) or US 5 (if using Aran) 32” circular
Gauge: 24 st/32 rnds = 4” in stockinette in the round
Notions: Stitch Marker, Darning Needle, Scrap Yarn or Stitch Holder
Tip:
Before beginning cuff, divide and place 21 stitches on left/top needle, and 19 on right/bottom needle before beginning. This will allow you to focus on the cable pattern on one side, and plain stockinette (and increases, where applicable) on the other.
