Budapest, 28/1 1913

Dear Friend

I was happy to see from your letter that your recovery is coming on apace, and I was reminded of the poem on the statue of Dr Wierer [sic] in Ischl: Man sagt; das größten Glück auf Erden, Ist gesund zu sein; ich sage Nein, das größten Glück ist gesund zu werden.^[1]

I hope that by this time, you and your dear wife^[2] – to whom please pass on my cordial regards – are in full agreement with this attitude.

I have sent the registration form back to the Fine Artists’ Society; and they will come and pick up the portrait [111091] before the opening.^[3] –

The dedicated Heliogravure is being sent off to Wiesbaden today; to make sure that it is properly

properly packed up, I am having it sent by “Winkler’s”, the picture and frame dealers.

I am much looking forward to the prospect of being able to see you here, on your way back from Athens after Easter.

I got the study portrait [5572] back from the Salon^[4] yesterday, albeit with a slightly damaged frame.

If, on leaving Wiesbaden, you go to Paris, I should like

to know, as the French say – “Que fait donc la chère santé?”^[5] and where will you stay in Paris?

Örömmel olvasom becses levelében, miként a gyógyulás szépen hallad [sic], és eszembe jut, az Ischli Dr Wierer [sic] emlékszobrán, olvasható vers: Man sagt; das größten Glück auf Erden, Ist gesund zu sein; ich sage Nein, das größten Glück ist gesund zu werden.

Reménylem ezen kellemes érzületet, ez idő szerint szintén fogja igen tisztelt nejével megosztani, kinek szívélyes üdvözletemet, kérem átszolgáltattni [sic].

A Képzőművészeti Társulatnál, a bejelentését átadtam; s a Tárlat megnyitása előtt, az arczképet átveszik. –

A Heliogravure dedicatiómmal, ma megy Wiesbadenbe; azt hogy helyessen [sic]

helyesen legyen csomagolva, „Winkler” Kép és Keret Kereskedő által küldetem.

Azon kilátásnak; hogy húsvéti ünnepek után, Athéni útjáról visszatérve, itt lesz szerencsénk láthatni, nagyon örülök.

A vázlatot a „Salontól” bár sértet [sic] kerettel tegnap visszakaptam.
