14th June, 1930.

Dear Lord Carnock,

I was pleased to hear from you[1] and certainly will be very glad myself if a good photogravure is made after my picture of Lord Carnock [6445].

I am giving you the address of the man who keeps the record of all my portraits, and who did the same for Sargent.[2] He is the only, and the very best man here, who makes good photographs and photogravures. His name is:-

Paul Laib,[3]

3, Thistle Grove

S.W.10

It would be very advisable in case you decide to have the photogravure made to visit him and see his work. He is also very inexpensive in comparison with larger firms. Whenever he makes a reproduction of any picture he always sends a proof before carrying out the order.

Yours sincerely,

SMDL
