swirl of colours running across the sky

for Robert Taggart 1961-2014

death will find us

no need to go looking

my head is a beech tree

day and night are the same

aw to do with lack of sun

it's been a long winter

or feels that way

death will find us...

Robert loaned me £50

then died of cold

never to be repaid

*

tired aw the time

but not sleepy

Yeah…

thought that Spring

was on the way,

but  aye,

that was the high

point of my day

*

chorus of birdsong

4 am this morning

at least they were happy,

aye, and they’re still here singing

at 4 pm this

         blue afternoon

*

whatever the moment

open it

take a look inside

is it colourful?

if it is caged

free it

see its colours

running across the sky

death will find us

no need to go looking

far into futures-

live like the wind

swirls of freedom

no force can deny

energy buzzes

electromagnetic

brains

            can whirl

A

   live

from moment

to moment

from is   .  to  .   is

where 2 plus 2 equals 5

*

a library of mind

so much poetry

in each locality

from page to page

in every sigh

of breathing cities

from millions to one

solitary

eye

looking out

       (:) ... (:)

*

from red

to pink

to yellow

to lilac

to orange

to aqua blue

to turquoise

to light grey

to dark grey

to mid-grey

to night black

to bright white

 - swirls -

of colour

running

across

the sky

make your red heart skip a beat

in the sour-sweet life that makes you cry

from

 red

   to

      orange

       to

          yellow

           to

              green

               to

                  blue

                   to

                      indigo

                       to

                          violet

             from deep in your eyes

and out

to the swirl      of colours          running             across                      the sky
