Lord of the Flies Literary Analysis: Resources

Overview of grading:

Your essay must be typed on the Google document that Ms. Press created and sent to you! Otherwise it will not be scored and you will receive a zero. Please make sure you type your essay on the correct document.

The essay will be graded using the rubric linked below. For the final, I will score it on this rubric on a curve (since it’s a rough draft). If you achieve “Meeting the Standard,” this will get you a score of an A on this final; it goes into the Tests and Quizzes category of your grade.

When you return from winter break, we will work on revising this paper to get it up to Proficiency so that you can put it in your graduation portfolio. You will get a Major Assessment grade for the paper--one of your first grades of the spring semester. So your work now on the final will pay off next semester, too!
