Kids Campus December Newsletter

December is a month that the children all look forward to with so many holidays to celebrate. Hanukkah with The Festival of Lights, Kwanzaa the Celebration of the Harvest and Christmas bringing out the child in everyone of us.

During this season we discuss the importance of family, friends, love and the different ways different cultures celebrate the holidays. It is also the season that we teach the children about giving, that not every family have as much as we do. Kids Campus will hold their first annual drive for Toys for Tots. The box will be displayed in our lobby for anyone who would like to donate a new toy.

All of the student’s will learn about “Caring” for our character education component of our curriculum.

Our Infant’s will work on the words snow, up and blanket in sign language. they will make dreidel handprints and menorahs. We will sing songs about Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Kwanzaa is here and the Snowman rhyme.

Our Toddler’s in celebration of the holidays will do potato paintings, bake gingerbread cookies and play dreidel games. They are working on the number 4 and the letters P, M and N.

Our Preschool classrooms will review the letters A through L and learn K and J. The classes will make holiday wreaths, santa puppets, practice cutting out dreidels and wrap their presents they have made for the special people in their lives.

We would like to wish all of our parent’s and children a Very Happy Holiday. We would also like to wish Abigail Mailman, Tara Hadjoglou and the owner of Kids Campus Susan Cohen a Happy Birthday.
