Dear Sir,

I am writing on behalf of Lady Buchanan-Jardine to thank you for your letter which she is sorry not to have answered before owing to having been abroad.

Lady Jardine will be very pleased to lend you her portrait [3739] for your Exhibition in Paris,[1] if you will undertake all responsibility with regard to taking down, unfixing light etc,. packing and insurance against all risks, also replacing it at the end of May. Perhaps you will kindly let me know when you would like to collect it.
