July 9th [1917]

Dear Mr. de Lászlò,

I went to your Studio on Saturday morning, but was told you had telephoned to say you were not coming. I can well imagine that you did not feel inclined to paint after such an excitement as we had in

the morning.

It is so good of you to say I may see my sister-in-law’s portrait [7214], and I am much looking forward to that, and especially to seeing you again.

Would it be convenient for me to go to your Studio on Friday afternoon any time after 4 o’clock? Or

in the morning so long as I could get home punctually by 1.15, as some people are coming to lunch here.

I am so busy with various war-works that I have very little free time, and I know how busy you are too.

Perhaps you would be kind enough to telephone and say if Friday would be at all convenient, so

that I can arrange my work hours to suit you if possible.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

Grace Hunter-Weston
