Welcome to Our Newest Major: Allison Kucki-AEG. Please do not hesitate to let us know how we can best support you with your goals. (Geol=Geology major, AEG=Applied Environmental Geosciences major, EST=Earth Science Teaching major).

Save the Date 1: WSU GEO alumni Jessica Castleton (UGS) and Chris Howell (AECOM) will give a special presentation on Monday, April 18, titled "What Geoscience Students Need to Know About Professional Liscensing (PG) in Utah." Their presentation will be given in SL 320, 9:30-10:20 am. A free continental breakfast will be available to participants beginning at 9:00 am in SL 328. Please see the attached flyer.

Save the Date 2: The Year-End Picnic and Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, noon to 3 pm. The College of Science is not holding an awards ceremony this year, so we will take time at our picnic to recognize our outstanding graduates and scholarship awardees for 2016-2017. This year's event will be held at the Weber County Fairgrounds and a catered barbecue lunch will be provided. We are asking you to bring appetizers, salads, or desserts to share. Family and friends are welcome. Please RSVP to Marianne so that we can get a rough head count to the caterer. A flyer and map to the fairgrounds are attached.

Message from Geology Club Officers: We would like to thank all of those that helped make our Geology Club Potluck a success! We still have Panda Express leftovers in the Majors' Room refrigerator, so help yourself to lunch.

Also, we are accepting nominations for Geology Club officers for next year. Voting for this will be online at the end of next week. Please submit your nominations before Thursday, April 14th. We need nominations for President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. Email Nominations to mistihaslam@mail.weber.edu.
