Towers of Doom
Last week we dove heavily into the patch that came alongside Cho’gall. This week the new Battleground Towers of Doom is here!
It’s another Raven Lord-themed battleground. VERY Halloween-centric. There are jack-o-lanterns all over the place and the headless horseman from WoW is the boss in the north-center of the map.
The “Core” Mechanic
What sets Towers apart from every single other Battleground in Heroes is that you cannot directly attack each other's Cores. Each Core has an indestructible barrier blocking enemy Heroes, minions, and mercs from getting through. If you attempt to to cross the threshold you will be bombarded by some heavy damage.
The Towers on this Battleground are called Bell Towers and their behavior is also unique. When you destroy a Bell Tower they do not go away permanently. Instead, they respawn very quickly under your allegiance. This allows you to collect more Towers in your favor which lead directly into the key objective.
Capturing Altars
Periodically Altars will activate very similar to the tributes on Cursed Hollow. Multiple Altars can activate at the same time, and in different locations. Claiming an Altar will cause all of your currently captures Bell Towers to fire on the enemy’s Core. The more Bell Towers you control, the more damage is done to the Core.
Other Notable Features
There are Tunnels on the Battleground that the Ravenlord will open up. These tunnels lead from your Core to the middle of the Battleground. Don’t worry, enemies cannot use these tunnels to get to your Core, they’re there to speed up the Battleground, which can go quite long since it is a tug of war with the Towers and the Core can’t be directly attacked.
Limited Map Pool
Until December 1st, the map pool is limited to:

Dignitas Trades for Na’Vi Players
Heroes World Championship runner-ups Team Dignitas are changing up their rosters in a trade with Na’Vi. Dignitas is trading Zarmony to Na’Vi for JayPL and scHwimpi. TheScoreEsports.com reports that Na’Vi will also receive an undisclosed fee as part of the trade. If you are unfamiliar, Zarmony typically fills one of the two Warrior slots for Dignitas alongside Atheroangel.
In addition to this trade announcement it is official that Dignitas have let adrd go. In Dignitas’s press release there was mention of the players “dealing with severe disagreements on a strategical or personal level for a while now,".
Dignitas will be competing at DreamHack this Thursday with their new roster.

Greeting heroes!
Just starting to take the AI pants off, and put the quick match pants on. Finding I often end up playing with 1 or two other people (sometimes full groups).
But if you find yourself playing with one other person, what are some of the best two (or three) groups you can play that have good synergy with each other? (asides from the Ogre). In your opinions obviously.

Denizens of the Nexus,
I'm new to hero league (just hit rank 40). I'm above average with Leoric and Johanna, but I cannot play ANY ranged character. I've tried playing Jaina and Kael'thas but it always results in 7+ deaths. Do you have any suggestions for playing ranged characters?
