Dear Fülöp,

While tidying up my library, I came upon these clippings about you, which I am sure you will be glad to see again. I can’t immediately think of any news from here, except that Lajos Ernst disappeared without trace two weeks ago.[1] I am sure you knew him or had heard of him. He was a talented man but also left quite a bit to be desired.

Our weather continues to be perpetually wet and cloudy. We no longer remember what sunshine feels like. I hope things are brighter where you are.

Wishing you further improved health, with affectionate regards to you all from myself and my wife,

Yours truly,

László
